Why do i suck so bad!?

I dont know why i am so bad at FFR. I can't FC any very difficult+ songs, (I can beat any song), and i have only AAA'ed 3 songs (Excite bike, sonic 1, eien meikyu). I play index too. Can anyone give me some tips? And whoring is not a good tip for me.

Practice, thats the only way you will get better.

Index personally is like much harder to learn really, if you are dtermined to play alot then you can be very good at it. But if you want to develop fast then I would say spread. But of course you could learn both and you would be awesome.

How do you position your hands for spread, anyways?

I haven't learned to index yet (might try spmetime for fun) and I've played SM for about 1½ years and FFR whatever it says on profile, I started as one-hand and switched to spread when stuff got harder (when I got Videogame Megapack for SM). I have tried to index sometimes but it's like "dancing" with your feet, you gotta learn to work every pattern with good balanced use of both indexes also jumps and jumpstreams must be iffy with index.

My suggestion is try spread, don't give up instantly if it is hard in beginning.

EDIT: I use http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/ffr_keymap.html for spread and my fingers are positioned on ASLÖ (Ö is right of L), left middle left index right index right middle.

If you don't already use one, use a speed mod. I went up to 1.25 and in one night I AAAed like 10 Difficult songs when before I could barely FC them. It really helps PA and it helps you to see patterns.

Again, if you don't already use one. I'm at 1.50 (1.75 for Red Alert DAMN YOU) now and it's amazing.

Yeah. I'm index and I'm getting up there. I can only FC like 2 very difficults but I'm still good PA. I just practice alot

Im new here, and i can already do very difficult pretty easy, all i can say to those who dont think there very good, just put in hours of practice every day. You will get good sooner or later. When i first started playing DDR i could hardly do anything on light, i went to the arcade whaching the people who could do it on the hardest modes thinking...."man i wish i could be that good" So i went out and just practiced my guts out and now im as good as them, so get out there and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!!
