Default PLANETZ

I just played Skor's version of PLANETZ, a file that was created about two years ago, and I noticed that about 60% of the file looked identical to the FFR version that BDN stepped. The jacky 8th streams in the first half of the FFR version and the 5 note 16th jumps are pretty much the ONLY thing that make his file different

Here's the file so people can look for themselves:

wtf BDN

Pattern-wise or are the actual step placements identical?

The 7 note 16th streams that are all over the second half of the files are exactly the same in the two.

If I had the FFR simfile for it I'd compare more thoroughly in the editor, but I don't

Oh

I thought it was just the patterns that were the same, since that's something that can be done coincidentially when stepping a song (ie, your BB Evolution file's huge similarities to Kilga's), but if the actual step placement is the same I'd think there's a problem.

Wow, just played that one and BDN's file, the patterns are different but the note placement is EXACTLY the same, all the way to the jumps, except for the 5 note jump trills, EVERYTHING is the same

The 8th note jacks in the beginning, where there is a jump every 4th note, those aren't exactly the same. I'm going to take a guess at that one of the notes in the jumps in skor's file was moved over so it'd be a full 8th jack for BDN's

I'm still not sure... Is this the "same" as in the way my Jurs OP looks a lot like Blurk's, BB Evo looks a lot like Kilga's, Sepia looks a lot like cluelessmorgan's, etc?

Or is it like, 16 measures copied note-for-note?

Same concept of step patterns. Its not exactly the same but you can see the simularities it the step pattern.

*edit* Very good file though

Wow... This is like that 'rebirth steals simfiles' thread, except with more credibility.

Either way, it's a crappy simfile. None Would Escape is cool though. Unless that's copied as well.

BDN has made some good files, I wouldn't discredit him by saying he steals songs, unless of course, he actually did.

And BDN seems not to know that we are plotting to charge him with torches and pitchforks chanting "You stole PLANETZ steps!" at his door.
