No, nobody on a site which has a lot of Japanese loving / speaking people and anime lovers know what J-Rock is.

Come to think of it, what's J-Pop? Or what's J-Classical Operatic Funk?

Still, "favourite groups" threads never really turn out well, but if I was choosing rock wise I would say The Black Mages, they are Japanese and they play awesome instrumental (guitar orientated) hard rock.

B'z and L'arc en Ciel are awesome. M.O.V.E. is funky and awesome, too. they do all genres, yes, nearly ALL.

The Pillows were my a fav of mine for a while along with Mr Children and AKG but all of them got too main stream.
