Epic moment in my gaming history
efifn finally. You dont understand how hard it was to beat Dead Space 2 on Hardcore difficulty and finally receive the platinum trophy. Limited ammo drops, savage enemies, and only 3 saves. Now i get to bask in the awesomeness of the hand cannon, a giant foam hand that is overpowered to the extreme now i ask all who read this: what was your personal crowning moments in gaming history?

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
IMO there aren't many games outside FFR that compare with it in meaningful skill. My best time on expert Minesweeper is 85s. I can survive sudden death Tetris indefinitely. Beaten PS2 Shinobi on Super Mode. There's a bunch of stuff, but it's hard to top FFR just because it's so singularly skill-based and has such an awesome curve.
Most recently I beat the Lightning Round on Hero mode in Skyward Sword. That's pretty good I guess. Not like getting Oni or anything though.

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
Mega Man 9 Mr. Perfect (beat the game without taking damage)
I can beat four of the Mega Mans coming in under a minute off WR time. Used to have a few MK: Double Dash and Diddy Kong Racing track WRs five years ago or so. Can beat Dark Souls in under 90 mins and my friends seem to think that's impressive lol. Then there's FFR shit but w.e |

When Pokemon Crystal first came out, my egg hatched a shiny Tyrogue. Yes, I ended up with a blue freaking Hitmontop. Complete luck though, otherwise I got nothin'...

Biggest actual gaming accomplishment for me, outside of rhythm stuff: 0 death runs in Sonic 1 and 2. Nothing compared to this Dead Space or MM9 insanity, I'm sure. |

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
none of these are probably spectacular but they're at least achievements,
Beating Sephiroth on Kingdom Hearts 1 (item-less and I was like 11 I think, don't have the disc anymore to see actually how easy/difficulty it was but I remember feeling like a badass for finally doing it) Whopping awein's and darkchrysalis's ass in super meat boy (though we all beat each other's ass at it depending on the level). Can't compare ranks or how decent times are since basically every level has hundreds of hacked scores. 7.5m in Bejewelled 3 [lol luck] Beat Poke, Great, Ultra, and Master Ball of Prime Cup in one sitting, no continues as a child [Pokemon Stadium 1]. got to 100 meters in qwop [no inching forward or bouncing]

Re: Epic moment in my gaming history
Just became a legend among chickens in Fable III as we speak.
Seriously though, I play a whole lot of hardcore retro games so I can't really differentiate what game I could consider my biggest challenge. Although I reckon beating Actraiser and Willow (NES) during my childhood was a major feat. The Willow game in itself already being nightmare fuel. |

There was a "unroll the toilet paper ap" on my best friends itouch a long time ago and after 30 tries I set the second to fastest world time with 0.91 seconds.
Completing my first 100% achievement score on Assassin Creed II My team beating Team Carbon by one flag cap. Catching every single Pokemon and every single evolution all the way through B&W and levelling them to 99 |
