"All Digimons are hatched from a Digitama Egg, go through a baby Digimon phase, and grow into In-training,Rookie, Champion, Ultimate and Mega form. What a Digimon needs for these steps is Data.

Basically, Digimon hunt other Digimon, load (absorb) their data to grow, and move on to the next Digivolution step once they grow beyond a certain level.

But the Digimon that have a Partnership with humans can be forced to grow through the power of each human partner. These partners are called Tamers, and a Digimon that has a Tamer is called a Partner Digimon.

Digimon Masters skips the DigiEgg -> Infancy -> In-training part, and players start with Digimon in their Rookie. Some of the in-game characters can go beyond Mega to Burst Mode."

Basically, you start out with one of three digimon. Agumon, Gaomon, and Lalamon. You go through leveling them up until they get to their highest form. Along the way they start to learn new moves for them to use when you're battling other Digimon. Whenever you kill a digimon they drop items and sometimes they drop eggs which I believe you can use to hatch that digimon and train it?

You can get other "mercenary" digimon along the way like Angemon, but I'm nowhere near that far so I don't know. Apparently you can use your digimon as mounts as well because mother****ers in the training town are riding around on Geogreymon and I'm like what the **** I wanna do that. I'm only level 7 or 8(hehu) so I can't really tell you all about it. It's a Korean MMO so it'll eventually turn into a grindfest though so.

EDIT: Iirc, I read that after closed beta, the tamers and digimon are both going to get reset. So, if you wanna wait it out, go for it.
EDIT: Oh yeah, it says "closed beta" but you can just sign up and download it. I believe there is only one server atm, so I'll just list people's usernames.

Seems cool but I don't know if I want to trust JoyMax with Digimon (originally made awesome by Bandai). Looks like another WoW from the screenshots.

Doesn't really feel anything like WoW at all from the 7 or 8 levels that I've got. Also yeah most of the time I wouldn't play JoyMax's games but I mean come on I've been waiting for a Digimon or Pokemon MMO ever since I started playing vidya. So I take what I can get.

I used to play this other Korean MMO called DigimonRPG a few years back. I had Renamon as a starter and I am disappoint that this one doesn't have that option. D:

Seems like it stole a lot of the layout of the original digimon RPG...
Back when it was korean only and I had to fake being a korean citizen to play what

Whoops just realized it was actually developed from the same people, I forgot. Damn, I remember hearing about this like 3-4 years ago now.

Yeah, I remember that. I had to have someone generate a KSSN for me. Not sure if I still have it though, haha.

played this game till i was level 10 (not digimon level 10). From a game tester point of view, this game isnt very good, i know its in beta still and all that jazz, but the quest sytem and the battle system arent anything special in the world of MMOs today. quite clunky. one specific thing i found really annoying was that i couldnt finish several quests cause i had a full inventory. i didnt even want the items the quest gave out (bread for example). but i had to get rid of actually GOOD items to complete the quest.

BUT

From a digimon childhood fanboy point on view, this game is ****ing awesome and im actually gunna play more even when the full game is released.
