Input lag reduction
I just bought myself a 1080p 65 inch hdtv and every time I try to play street fighter I suffer from horrendous input lag. For anyone who plays a fps or fighter game I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I'm wondering if there are any ways to reduce the input lag for tv's above 42 inch, or just a remedy period. I would be indebted forever because I am in love with this tv and do not want to return it.

Did you try asking 4chan? They usually give the best advice.

Re: Input lag reduction
Is it a plasma or a LED TV?
Plasma ones have input lag and shit like that. LED ones don't.

Re: Input lag reduction
It's an LED and it has horrible input lag. A CRT TV is bulky as ****. I just find it hard to believe that I won't be able to play the same way as I would on a CRT with my LED. How could technology do this to me?

Re: Input lag reduction
i bought an LED tv to replace my monitor because i wanted something new and hip and because the 24in only cost 150 rofl. but yeah as soon as i got home plugged it in and started playing some games i returned it because of the input lag. as far as i know, unless the game has calibration offset options in the game then you're kinda screwed. UNLESS! your tv comes with a game mode which is meant to reduce the input lag by killing some things or soemthing. check around the option menu for an option that seems like a game more or something. best of luck man and if you cant get it to work then return the shit and get a tv with a game mode option.

Re: Input lag reduction
Oh lol. I remember hearing that LED TV's didn't have lag or something last night. I obviously heard wrong then.

Re: Input lag reduction
yeah set your tv to gamer mode if you have the option and also turn off your tv's motion blur setting if it has one.

Re: Input lag reduction
All TV's in HD are going to have lag pretty much due to upscaling and other shit like that. Game mode while cutting this down doesn't help very much if the TV in general is known for lag issues. Now EXACTLY opposite of what trogdor said. Plasma screens are better known BECAUSE they have less input lag than their LCD counter parts. LED is not a different type of television it is ONLY a backlighting feature added to LCD televisions. The only draw back to this is because plasma screens i believe are made of glass they are in fact. ALOT heavier
To add on to this I would probably suggest a panasonic viera plasma screen television or a Sharp Aquos plasma screen television. If they are playable for beatmania they are playable for any other game pretty much
