Default IBM Help.

Hey, I have a IBM Thinkpad R40, and I have 2 issues.

For some reason, the blue "Access IBM" button, does nothing when I press it.
Also, for some reason, my "pad Mouse", acts as Mouse Button 1, if I push it hard. How can I stop that?

You have a much better chance of resolving issues such as this by posting them on tech question forums.

Hate to break it to you, but that's the way most touch pads work. To disable the clicking, you'll have to disable the actual touch pad.

Heh, I missed that part of his post.
Anywho, I did a little searching on the thinkpad button.

Go to start->run and type in REGEDIT
Navigate to My Computer->HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->IBM->TPHOTKEY->8001 on the left side of the window.
The value "File" should be "C:\\Program Files\\IBM\\Access IBM\\aibm.exe"
The value "DispName" should be "Access IBM"
If not, change the values to these.

Note: Change things in the registry at your own risk. Doing random things can seriously screw up your computer.
