deleting messages on Slack (not skype because it SUCKS)
I argue that deleting messages in a thread isn't the same as deleting messages in chat because when addressing the thread you are addressing the town, speaking from a podium, making a case - imagine a stenographer typing things down.
This does not happen in private talks - nobody is wearing a bug. A deleted messages is the same as a whisper not heard if successfully deleted. If you do it you risk getting caught and it's down to both players to use whatever social equity they've acquired throughout the game to do what they will with what just happened. that's the game. If you do a fair risk assessment on the situation you will note that it is a risk with fair consequences/rewards. |

Re: deleting messages on Slack (not skype because it SUCKS)
I can agree with that. It's pretty much been well established by now that I was in the wrong, hence the rerolling of the game.
and @blind, in games where outside communication is allowed, it's generally expected that people will, you know, use outside communication. Of coutse, it's always your choice not to participate in it (and insult the people that do), but you have to be prepared to accept the consequences of those actions.

I have no objections to deleting messages on chat clients when applicable. Wouldn't mind permitting editing such messages either. I liked Fiction's analogy and think he said it best though.
