I think this song would be fantastic for FFR.

Thing is, it's a remix of a song originally by The Cab, and I can't seem to find who did the remix. Is anyone able to get permission for this somehow?

Nightcore is not covered under laws that allow you to remix songs. A quick glance at the tenets of copyright law shows that one of the main considerations taken in music copyright cases is:

- the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole

As nightcore literally uses the entire song for its "remix" it would not hold up in a court of law as a transformative work.
THIS MEANS we would need to get permission from The Cab, which in turn means we would need to get permission from Universal Republic Records, their label. Which would never happen because Universal Republic is in turn owned by Universal Music Group, which is literally the largest music corporation in America. Besides being a multibillion dollar corporation to begin with, they are also pretty notoriously greedy and would obviously want licensing money that FFR cannot spend.
So there you have it.

(btw the game already has a rate feature in R^3 engine so you can make your own nightcore anytime you want ^_^)

EDIT- ironically this would probably be legal to step for FFR >_<

Ah, I literally just heard this song and thought it was pretty good. Had a look for other "nightcore" songs after posting this to find out what it was, REALISED what it was and how dumb it is. Now ashamed that I called it a remix in the first place :L welp, that's out the window.
