My brother was telling me about how they play this game at camp.
They have 10 people.
4 are wolves. 1 is cupid, who can make 2 people lovers where if one dies they both die 1 is a little girl, who can peek while the wolves make their kill, but if she gets caught she dies. 1 is a witch, who decides if the wolf kill works or not (witch is on the humans side) 1 is seer. 1 is guard. 1 is a guy with a purple hat. He has a purple hat. Yet even with the little girl, who basically finds all the wolves if she doesn't get caught, and the witch, who prevents all wolfings, the wolves usually won. |

Lmfao. If you're seriously thinking of having that as a TWG game then it's horribly biased towards the humans. Unless you make certain restrictions, such as the witches power only works once and the cupid's power only works once then you might have a decent game. Also, there needs to be at least 2 regular humans. Even having a 3:1 ratio makes it easier for the wolves to win =/
Edit-the little girl power works if you change it a bit. Going to random.org and saying there's a 1/3 chance of dying might make it fair, but there needs to be a special wolf role to balance it out. This includes the MW as well: the seer is overpowered if there isn't one.

He IS talking about TWG. It's just a variation of the game.

he wasn't saying that he wants to host this. the point of his post was to show how much people suck, and that he's not the worst player in the world.

Also rofl at the witch role. If the witch ever let the wolves wolve someone, they are a complete idiot.

Re: My brother was telling me about how they play this game at camp.
If nobody knew who was who (IE. The wolves didn't know who each other were) and somehow got to put in individual votes on who they killed, then the witch could decide a wolf was going to kill a wolf and let it happen.
But then, if 4 wolves all got to make 4 kill attempts, game might be over kinda quick. |

Re: My brother was telling me about how they play this game at camp.
I play mafia in real life. It is wicked, there is a few mafia, depending on number of people playing (1/4) a doctor, and a sheriff. Cards are dealt out to give people their roles. The doctor is the guardian and chooses to save someone, sheriff investigates people, and is basically a seer. There is talking during the day, and then there is a night phase. Everyone closes their eyes, the narrator asks the mafia to wake up (thus letting the narrator know who is mafia the first round) the look at the narrator, look at each other, to see who is who, and then point at somoene to kill. Then comes the doctor, they wake up look at the narrator and choose someone to save. Then the sherrif, if they point at a mafia they get a thumbs up, and if not they get a thumbs down.
It is a really fun game, and can cause lots of intense arguments (especially if you are playing with family). |

oh, and once night phase is over, the narrator wakes everyone up, and tells them if someone died or not.

Also, rl Mafia is very fun, but its different game from online mafia. There are no private conversations, making masons useless, and making alliances much harder to form. On the good side, there are no problems with inactivity |

Re: My brother was telling me about how they play this game at camp.
I never said he was. I said that if he WAS planning on hosting this, then it would be inbalanced.
To elaborate on heavy's post (I played this before): Usually everyone is in a room and get cards. If you get a King, you're a wolf; Queen, Guardian; Ace, seer. Everyone looks down and closes their eyes at "night" as the wolves make their kill, once the night is over everyone wakes up and the Host tells everyone who died. We have to deduce if it was just a random killing, or if someone moved in the night we can call "wolf!" on them. ps an experienced wolf would make decision without even MOVING their body. They would just "move" their eyes toward the person they would want to kill. pps: even in college people are still stupid when it comes to these types of games (yea i played it after a party)

haha ya, try playing with your grandmother.... haha my family is intense into games, and my sister learned mafia when she went down to mexico. We had a game of like 30 or so people going once in a campground, bunch of drunk middle-aged folks, and their kids. :P It was a good time. I tried to get my friends to play once, but they weren't to into it. Us university folk. :P

Re: My brother was telling me about how they play this game at camp.
It would be obvious if someone looked.
"Hey, x is a wolf." "How do you know that?" "Ummmm...I peeked?" Without evidence, then it would be obvious that someone cheated. |

ya, you really can't tell if anyone looked, but that is dumb and ruined the game. that would be like if someone hacked into the hosts account and read their pm's... dumb.
