Default So I'm having webcam problems.

I just went to my local Target store and got me a $40 webcam with a built-in microphone. I came home and Installed the CD stuff no problem. Now I restart my computer then plug the webcam into the USB port. However, it's like it's not even plugged in. It's not detecting my webcam at all. It's not even making that noise that I plugged something in my USB port. I restarted my computer like 3 times.

Here are some things to note.

-I only have 1 USB port on this computer.
-My computer is an XP and it says it's capable for XP.
-There's only 1 switch to this webcam which is the video call button.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

It could be a faulty USB port. My PC is fairly old. I'm running XP, but the USB ports are USB 1.0. Sometimes when I plug in my iTouch it doesn't respond. You just have to work with it. Make sure it is all the way in.
