Death Note
I saw this series about a year ago, but just up to episode 16 or so because I couldn't find anymore subbed.
I was wondering if anyone has seen it. What did you think about it? I loved the way the two main characters interacted with each other by studying one another and studying the way the other studies themselves. If you haven't seen it get to it! So YouTube it, y'know. Re: Death Note
Ive seen the whole series...I gotta tell you the dub doesn't do the show justice. (plus it only goes up episode 16 so far) The Japanese voice actors are amazing, and it has a lot darker of an atmosphere...(they actually cut out some vital scenes in the English dub that make the series a lot better) If I were you, I would go back to the beginning and watch the subbed version, it is definitely one of my favorite animes.

Re: Death Note
You should probably find the rest. Just google it. It's on the internet somewhere.
I loved individual parts but the show as a whole wasn't the best, not gonna lie. Edit: I was thinking subbed, hell yes. Why the **** would you watch a jap show subbed. That's like ****ing naruto on cartoon network. It doesn't exactly capture the characters personality the same. So yeah, watch the rest of it subbed, only pre-requisite is that you can read. |

Re: Death Note
Oops, little typo. I watched the first episodes subbed, not dubbed.
Hehe. I got to the episode when Light changed his God friend thing to help some chick with the special eye powah. Shinigami (just google'd it.) P.S: Sorry, but I really haven't seen the show in a very looong time. I forgot some of the characters like the actress girl that loved Light to bits. Whatever. |

Re: Death Note
Why would you watch Anime? Unless there isn't a manga for it, read it. It goes by SO much faster, AND in most cases it's better. (Naruto, One Piece, Inuyasha, as examples. Their Anime sucks, but the mangas for them are awesome.)

Re: Death Note
I thought Death Note was fantastic up until a certain point. Anyone whose seen the whole show will know what I'm on about. It's a shame as well. Was gripping despite how slow the show is, I always thought that was impressive. Like I said though, I thought it really goes downhill after a certain point.

Re: Death Note
I've read the manga, been watching the episodes recently though. Pretty good..I do kinda like the manga better, but that may just be me. I need to back and finish watching it. For those that have seen all the etpisodes, how does the ending go? The manga, it just seemed a little...well empty. Like they could have done so much more with it but just didn't.

Re: Death Note
Around episode 25ish it just seemed like the story was over and they wanted to drag it on more. But the first 25 episodes were pretty epic.

Re: Death Note
Seen it. Read it.
Great series overall. I watched it all at veoh.com. I watch every anime there. The dubbed version is actually better than what other animes tried in my opinion. It seems to fit, especially Ryuk's. The ending between the anime and the manga is somewhat different, but they should've added what happened later from the manga.

Re: Death Note
Yeah I think it's good until the Major incident. That part was sad. Then it went downhill like you all say.

Anyway, I never finished Death Note because it just got boring. First half was great, absolutely thrilling, but then it just sort of died off past that point. I looked up a synopsis of the entire story so I knew how it ended. |
