Wouldn't it be nice to see how you're doing during a song?

I don't like this idea because, we don't really need to know during it. For over like 4 years we've played a song and never known how good we were doing, why change it now. It's so much more suspenseful when you have no idea how good you've done until the end. And anyway, probably half of the really talented players screen shrink, so they wouldn't be able to see it. That's my feedback on this idea, but it is a pretty interesting one.

When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

I don't have 20 more averages and won't be able to finish the song with 150 more perfects than goods.

You also wouldn't need to count the number of goods for the Zephon token.
Okay, then here's a variation on your idea.

There would be a small dot, or something of that sort, placed somewhere on the screen. Perhaps it could be movable by the player. It would only be a few pixels big, and it would color correspond with how you're doing on the song.

The way it'd work would be a variation on the autofail system, but would work with greater than, less than, equal to, # more than and # less than functions instead of purely equal to functions.

for instance, say you need to get at least 20 less averages than goods on a song. in the average field, you'd put "goods-20", or in the goods field you'd put "averages+20".

Or, if you need to get the same number of boos as goods, you would put in the boo field "boos=goods".

If you exceed any of this criteria, the little button would turn a bright red. If you're doing fine, it'll be green. This would be easily noticable without focusing on it so it shouldn't interfere with gameplay.

It wasn't my idea. A dot would be fine, but I prefer to have something like this:

Edit: I took the screenshot with down arrows and then copied them to the top, but now that I think about it, there was no reason to do it.
