Final fantasy 7 is the game that allowed America to truly experience the true RPG style. It was also amazing in graphics, sounds, etc back in that time period. Therefore, I believe it was FF7.

I also think that the wolf has a better design. The lion really has that whole "firey" generic effect thing going, but the wolf seems more unique.
