BPM thing

I've heard about some thing that people have that they run a song through this program and it tells you what the BPM is..

What's the name and where can I get it? Because my BPM on my songs are way off...

Don't get WinBPM, it will always throw the bpm off a little bit, making it a serious pain in the ass to sync. Beatcounter works great for songs. Just make sure you have Winamp v. 2.X so its plugins can grab the bpm.

I gave up on beatcounter... couldn't figure out anything about it, but then again I really didn't try to understand. Well, that's laziness for you.

I have Winamp, it's never off.. I hate WMP. Doesn't change the fact that I'm lazy as hell though.

Ok. Here is how you use Beatcounter.

Step 1 : Install
Step 2 : Go to options > input and configure your Winamp plugins directory, which should be C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\ or C:\Program Files\Winamp5\Plugins\
Step 3 : Restart
Step 4 : Set tolerance to 100% and estimated BPM to 150 (not mandatory, just my favorite settings)
Step 5 : Load some sort of sound file
Step 6 : Wait for the bar at the bottom to fill up
Step 7 : Look at your results in the bottom window

Easy as hell.
