After seeing the name being mentioned around these parts, I got curious and did some research on it and by research, I mean Wikipedia.

It looks pretty awesome, but I have no way of navigating the site. So can anyone be so kind as to answering a question?

Is this game free to download?
If so, can you provide with a link and English instructions?

I'm pretty sure I can work myself through the game, I'm just wonder how to get it. Thanks in advance.

Sadly, it is not a free series. There are places where you can download it, but I'm not supposed to give you links ;o.

There's some info over at www.shrinemaiden.com, but it's horribly outdated.

http://www16.big.or.jp/~zun/html/game.html demos are there, and it's rather easy to navigate to find them.

I'd suggest trying to find Perfect Cherry Blossom, which is currently my fave Touhou at the moment.

I just got the demo for it. Awesome. No clue where to find the full version.

Is it a fighting game? If so, that's Immaterial and Missing Power, and it's actually different from the rest of the series, which are shootemups.

SimulationStyle is an abomination of a website that should not exist. **** that place and everything it stands for.

Buy Touhou from Himeya or Paletweb. The games are 10-15 dollars on Paletweb, with the exception of IaMP, which is 30.

About the IN English patch: I don't think the group wants the link to be publicly passed around until it's out of beta. Too bad. I'll ask the head guy later.

Edit: Seriously, don't ****ing download **** from SS, no matter how tempting it may be. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they actually distributed correct copies of the games, but...

A. They just steal other people's rips of the games and upload them
B. Their executables aren't patched, leading to thousands of questions from morons who can't apply the patches to them
C. They're a bunch of dumbasses and the site is run by holystorm, who you may remember from Sweet Sims or whatever the ****
D. lol

It's your unlucky day, everyone, the (better) site that hosted all of the Touhou games and a good chunk of the music is down.

But that's not to say it's impossible to obtain everything without paying a dime, there's a huge torrent for pretty much all of the music at a super secret website that shall not be named (lol chardish) and there's a torrent for every single Touhou game which I found on /t/ in November. There's 1 seed and 4 leechers for the second torrent, btw. I'm banned from the site with the first one because the tracker is absolutely ****ty and thought my ratio was .35 or something really gay like that, so I'm unfortunately left without a lot of Touhou music.

Moogy posted a compilation of some great Touhou tracks on FFR before. Just use the "search" button.

It's called a "Bullet Hell" shooter. Your hitbox on the game is intentionally very small. Reason? The screen is usually filled with bullets. I can't really describe it any better then say.. wikipedia, but let me just say the game is damn fun. Hard as hell sometimes too.
