View Full Version : How good are most people after playing for .14 years?

:? Ya, i'm DDR poser. I've been playin for .14 years, and want to know if I am any good for the amount of time I have been playing. I range from tricky to challenging (I can do some very challenging and one for masters only). That is TGWP if u are wondering. I'm NOT trying to brag, gloat, etc.; I simply want to know if I am worse than I should be after playing this long (or vice versa). If you are wondering why I put this in the newbie section, It's because I sorta am one, and I also have been playing for a short time.

What does it matter? Honestly... if you're enjoying yourself and improving, nothing else should matter.

It is also basically impossible to answer your question. It isn't like we have a set list to compare to or anything. Plus, we don't know if you're talking about merely passing songs or actually FCing with good PA.

Enjoy and have fun. That's what is important.

Good point. I know though, just asking. Well, as far as the whole whether I'm merely passing or not thing, It depends. No, I'm not getting all perfects or full combos necissarily, but it's not like I'm hitting all of the keys in a jumbled up mess and hoping for the best. Thanks,

DDR poser

If money doesn't grow on trees, then does that mean that it only grows on shrubs, vines, and other such small greenery?

I've been a member for .1 years and I can do most tricky and difficult songs without any kind of mashing (although I don't necessarily get very high combos on all of them), I can pass several (I'm not sure about most) challenging songs with a little mashing. *gasps* *slaps self for mashing* Then again, I think I play more often than alot of people who have only been playing for .1 year.

Honestly, some people are more skilled than others. It sounds like you are doing fairly from what I can see.

I've been playing for 10 days, which is 0.03 years. So 0.14 is like a little over a month. And I can do almost as much as you can. über. Maybe I'll vs. ya on the multiplayer. XD XD

I've been Playin FFR fer about 1.40 years and i still can't AAA anything also, your only as bad at FFR or anything for that matter as you let your self be, so if you don't like things....Your horible at them and if you love them chances are that you are good at them...There are certain times when that's proven false like me and art...i take the class but i'm not to good at it and i love it!

I got good very very quick. Probably not as quick as tass did but still very quick. Some people just have a natural act for the game.

Skish wins for having a molecular model of caffeine for his avatar...at least, I think it's caffeine. It's been so long since I've had a chemistry class...

As for your question, Poser, it's considered a rite of passage when you can do Breaking The Common (in Dance) without any misses. Have fun.

yep, it's caffeine... I wondered whether anybody would notice...
Anyways, you're not bad for .14 years (as far as I know), because I know a few people who can hardly do a difficult song after playing that long. Then again, they don't play every day like me...

♥ Hey, trickies and challengings are not that easy so your making pretty good progress. I've been a member for 0.01 years and I can beat every "very challengings", and most "for masters only." But as long as your having fun it doesnt matter. ♥

Yo man everyone improves at different rates. Some improve slow, and some improve fast, and some already has a gift in FFR. You're doing well for .14 years. It all depends on how you feel yourself.

Unless you play SM before you start FFR, most people suck horribly at 0.14.

Good progress.

I like what tass said except for the fact that all he usually talks about is his AAA's and how good he is.

My first month of playing, i remember only playing about 6 different songs over and over again, a few were i can see the light and snowflakes. I had slow internet and it was easier to play the same songs again and again than wait 20 minutes for a new songs to load

But id say thats pretty good for only playing a month

ya your ok for playing for that long then. i couldnt do anything for a long long time :). to tass's comment well competition is fun also, in fact i wouldnt be playing this game if i wasnt competing when i think about it. or at least i wouldnt be trying for some scores just because everyone is good at it

at .1 years I could FC alpha helix... but I was pretty good to begin with...

I played ddr on controller, so FFR was just a computer extension of that... but now I'm still not that good compared to some other people with the same time of playing.. I think that skill is more based on games played--- rather than time on FFR.. considering that I'm WAY better than most people who have the same amount of games played as I do.

After .14 years is about when I started FCing challenging songs. This is mainly because I started with stepmania first, but I still sucked at jumps and keyboard specific stuff until I got on ffr for a while.

i say if i dont play for a year i'll be able to FC crowd pleaser B)

I've clocked up .11 years and can manage trickys wtih no mashing. Also I can do all of The Games We Played except 4 without mashing.

But yeah, It doesn't matter as long as you just improve. Its not the winning that counts <_<

It also depends on how much you play in that amount of time. Someone with 5000 game plays in ~0.1-0.2 years will usually be better than someone with 1000 (If no prior experience with SM etc)

i was a trash one hander doing on tricky at about .6 years, when i switched over to index i at .9 years since i didn't play for .3 years and abandoned FFR and went from tricky to very challenging+ in about two days, all depends on your drive, style, and the time you devote to FFR.

You improve as you play the game more. I've been playing for .33 years and I can FC just about all very difficult (except for 2 or 3), many challenging songs, and some very challenging songs. :-D

different ppl learn at different paces, when i was .14 yrs, I sucked, I switched from 1 hand to 2 around .6 years or so then I was able to FC vdiff songs and now i can FC chal to vchal with descent PA.
