a sad day indeed. Stupid american audiences and their inability to appreciate good humor.
I imagine there will be another online petition, if there isn't already (jewpin's sig... ?).

Advertising wasn't that good. I wasn't pulled in until last week when Jewpin told me how good it was.
Then again Malcom is watched but the advertising is too god damn much. They just needed a puller in it.

I gave the show a shot on a few occasions but I just was not a fan.
Sorry to hear it was cancelled for you fans. Fox likes to cancel some shows and keep others like Stacked on the air. I was upset they pulled that one show with Chris O'Donnel. Damn Fox.

The problem with the show is that it requires audiences to suspend their disbelief alot, which all the fans can do but most americans can't. They're like "where's traditional sitcom lol? This isn't everybody loves raymond."
Also no one gets the word plays. Hell half the regularly viewing audience doesn't understand catch all the word plays.

I felt a shock of hurt when I saw the title. RIP Arrested Development, one of, and probably the best sitcom ever. And they are still showing King of the Hill, if I'm not mistaken? Ick. If it weren't for The Simpsons and Family Guy, Fox would be as boring as ABC o_0
Wait, do they still show Malcolm in the Middle? That show kicked ass.
Yeah, Talisman is right. Americans are idiots :P

Yes. How is 7th Heaven STILL on?
I liked Arrested Development, but it never made me laugh like My Wife and Kids does.

Not again.
You want to know why Arrested Development isnt getting higher ratings? BECAUSE FOR THE PAST MONTH ALL THAT HAS BEEN PLAYING IS BASEBALL. There was no advertisment saying when Arrested Development would be back. Only those who are fans of the show would wait for it's return.

I've actually seen commercials for it(maybe they were at the end of other FOX shows, but I've definitely seen them). "Guest starring Charlize Theron!"
Plus, my mom gets free TV Guides at her office. "Now bigger and fully colored!"

I'm disappointed if any of you didn't see this coming. The same exact thing happened to Titus.

Eventhough I was never a fan of Arrested Development, I appreciated that the show had a distinct feel in the crowd of unoriginal sitcoms that we see still alive today after over 2 years.
I thought Arrested Development was doomed right after FOX moved it to Mondays. It just doesn't as easy to catch the show on a Monday for some reason...

Well, I think we knew it was coming. I'm not that surprised. Like we see in this thread, it wasn't everyone's type of humor. I loved it, but my girlfriend watched the whole first season with me and only laughed a few times (laughed a couple more after I explained some of the references which she missed. Well, it's a pity, but I knew it was coming.

Hm. I watched Titus, but I was never a fan. As for Arrested Development, it was my all time favorite show. But yeah, it isnt too much of a surprise that it is being cancelled (again). But hey, If people arent watching it, it is probably because the show isnt that good, M I RITE? Who cares if it won 13 emmys and is critically acclaimed?

From Yahoo:
There is a possibility that the show will be shopped around, but its high cost is expected to be prohibitive for a cable network.
Fox said Thursday that it will pull "Arrested Development" and "Kitchen Confidential" off the schedule for the remaining three Mondays of the November sweep, replacing them with a rerun of the previous episode of "Prison Break" leading into an original episode of the serialized drama.
"Arrested" and "Kitchen" are set to return to their time slots with original episodes December 5, following the fall finale of "Prison Break" on November 28.

Nice to see that I wasn't the only one who liked those shows.
Fox is just dicks, I suppose.
Well, Family Guy came back, right? So all Arrested Development needs is highly successful DVD box set sales and late night block programming success and it can come back too.
