Online Play

I've played a few games, but I'm not sure how to connect online and challenge others. Can someone help?

if at the bottom of the game screen it says "Connected to multiplayer" just hit the big green "Go" button on the screen below the game screen and voila, off you go.

Problem is, it isn't connecting.
