I'm asking a question, don't flame me if the anime is gay.
When I was a little kid, I saw this and really though it was hilarious.
Now the thing is, when I grow up, things I thought were awesome (ff7) tend to start to suck, so I want to know, what do you all think of this series or whatever, is it worth wasting time to watch again, as I cannot remember anything but thinking it was hilarious.

Hmm--good question. I loved Slayers when I saw it maybe 4 years ago, and I have all 3 series on DVD, just haven't gotten around to watching them all the way through yet. I'll do that this year. And then I'll let you know :)

I watched the Slayers NEXT movie with Andy the other day. I'd seen it, he hadn't.

Still funny.

I still think of the first few episodes and giggle from time to time. Heart Slayers. I wish I'd seen all of it.

Panda--you can get all three seasons (slayers, slayers next, and slayers try, plus all the movies I THINK) on dvd for about $40 on ebay, less if you don't do the buy-it-now thing and actually win the auction.

I remember watching Slayers with my friends back in California, and how every time Naga came on-screen they'd stare at me. They even wanted me to dress up as Naga for Halloween, which I never did because the costume is WAY SKIMPY. Although if I ever lose about 30 lbs and go back to California for it, I might :) Tis WAY too cold here at Halloween to even think about it.

I really loved Slayers back when I was first getting into anime three or four years ago.

Looking back, I realize that although it was a fun series, it had some serious flaws. It was plagued by lack of direction and the occasional uninteresting story arc, and when the **** started to hit the fan, everyone except for Lina would suddenly become completely useless.

Still, it is quite enjoyable, and Amelia is <3. Go ahead and watch, although make sure you start with the first season (Slayers) then move on to season two (Slayers NEXT) and finally go to season three (Slayers TRY).
