The show is called: Avitar, The Last Airbender. It plays Friday
8 PM/9 PM Eastern.

If you watched it, you will know what this will mean: "yip yip?"

I was like WTF. As soon as I saw it though...It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Kinda too childish a lot for me though.

Avatar is even less of an anime than Teen Titans. Seriously, do some research before you post such nonsense.

Actually, Nickolodean played anime all the time on Nick Jr. when I was a young kid (in other words, when most of you were dead).

Shows like David the Gnome and the Noozles and a bunch of other stuff were all anime.

I watched the first episode. It was alright I guess. It wasn't something I'd watch over again.

P.S. You suck at spelling.

We all love Teen Titans, but that doesn't make it anime. This Avatar show was ok from what I saw. Pretty silly looking, but what do you expect from Western anime?

PS Teen Titans DWI coming from me soon.

PPS by soon I mean within 5 years.

It isn't the first anime on Nickelodian. They had Speed Racer X for
about 10 episodes and then they stopped, but they have had more than that I know.

But I like the show, it has the makings for an okay show, but I won't very far because,
even though Nickelodian publicized it alot, I don't think as many kids watched it as they wanted to.

Oh, don't forget those Grimm's Fairy Tale things :) *sings* Hey, come along and join the fun. It's the time for fairy tales...

Well, I have to say, Avatar is the first decent show Nickelodeon has had in years. It may not be anime, in fact, I call shows like that Japanimation(Teen Titans, Totally Spies, etc.), but it does have pretty good animation if you ask me. Excellent concept, slightly above average art(scenery is pretty darn good, people....meh.), and a pretty badass antagonist.

GG On putting a bump on this thread that is over a month and 1 week old.

Vash, if you read my rules carefully, I say bumping is alright if you have legitimate information to add. This is because the pace of Media is quite slow as is and because I don't want to contradict myself when it comes to duplicate threads.

Negi is a nice poster. Even with 20 posts now, I've taken notice. He/She has done nothing wrong and he/she adds very good information to threads that he/she bumps.

Carry on.

I dont really have anything to add to the whole "Avatar" or whatever show...

You do realize that the term Anime (abbreviated from Animeeshion) does not specify an animation's nation of origin or style. Japanimation is actually the correct term when describing cartoons originating from Japan. The term is used to distinguish Japanese work from that of the rest of the world.

Yesh, I do get that, but it's just been a term I've used for a pretty long time. I never really thought about it before...my common sense isn't really up to speed with others...but then again, if sense was common, everyone would have it, wouldn't they? And Squeek, for the sake of you not having to type "he/she" every time you refer to me(which you probably won't have to again anyway...) I'm a he. And thank you for the compliment! :D

Avatar's not an anime (i used to think so, but my friend told me it's not, another got proof ;.; i hate it when they have proof) But it is pretty convincing n.n
I've seen almost every eppie thats out (despite hardly watching nick o.o) and i just got the first dvd a few weeks ago -dance- it has my favorite episode (Warriors of Kyoshi) on it! (Sokka wears a dress Sokka wears a dress XD)

I do not believe that nick will ever show anything hardcore like anime. Unless you include rocket power which very sucks at mimicing tony hawk. But that is not the same hardcore I am talking bout in the first place. Nick is for little kids whose parents are obsessed with the fact the if they were 1 cent poorer than bill gates, they would cry that they are the poorest people in the world, they believe that society is still present today, they think trousers and suspenders are cool, and they wear adult diapers.
