Yes people, for those who have been following Dragonball GT on Toonami, the final episode of the entire Dragonball Saga ends this Saturday. I know GT was not popular and I don't like Dragonball that much anyway but, I am glad that the entire three show series: Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT are finally ending. Im just sad that they are ending.

I can't help but feel sad that I'm losing a major staple of my anime diet when I was a little kid, now that I am in my teens. As the final episode, "Until We Meet Again" plays this Saturday, I will be the first to tell you that I will probably cry or at least tear-up.

The DB show has faced much critiscism for it poor dubbing but in the end, we all grew up to love this show. I know I did. So this is my final goodbye to the "greatest action anime ever made." Goodbye Goku, Vegeta, Chichi, Master Roshi, King Kai, Trunks, Gohan, Videl, Mr. Satan. Goten, and others. You are the reason I watch anime now.

So does anyone have any other comments to add?

And I think most of us can breath a gigantic sigh of relief as we say "FINALLY".

I read the spoilers before the Baby saga had even come close to resolving (back when those episodes were new to CN) so I've been waiting for this for quite a while just to see what it's like.

The last battle was rather anti-climactic, if you ask me. A one-episode out-of-the-blue kill? Bah.

Look at my avatar and take a guess.

Seriously though, I started watching GT and then they started showing some reruns and I just forgot to continue watching.
I'll have to download the GT episodes, along with the original series which I never saw. (actually I did to a point then I couldn't find any more episodes :( )

If your talking about the Omega Shenron battle it wasn't just 1 episode. Killing him took like 8 episodes, still not very many compared to Buu, Cell and Frieza. (XD I do watch DBZ)

I'd say this was the first anime I ever watched, it was ok in my opinion and watched it usually when it was on.

I agree, if you remember back in the Frieza Saga on Dragonball Z, it took Goku 3 episodes to build enough energy, and he still didn't kill Frieza. Now remeber, Goku was pulling energy from all over the universe that time too.

So how did Goku do the same thing in 5 minutes and have enough energy to kill the most powerful villain in Dragonball History? Sounds a little cheap to me. But it's still a great series.

I've always liked DBZ, especially since it was my first real anime series. I thought it had good action and was worthwhile, even though the FUNimation dub was really bad. However, I'm much more of a fan of the movies than the series. Twelve and Thirteen were just awesome.

I remember starting watching before the Frieza episodes aired and stopped watching during the Cell saga because I saw the budokai, android, and cell sagas on CDs that my friend got. So, I never got into GT, and I won't be too sad to see them go since I lost interest in watching (due mainly to the fact that work would keep me until after DBZ was over on weekdays during high school).

EDIT: FUNimation did the dub, not Saban. What the hell was I thinking when I typed that?

GT was the final act of rape that Funimation shall do to the DBZ franchise. I'm glad that this abomination is over.

PS I love DBZ more than probably anyone, but I loathe Funimation for their piss-poor dub job. If I were given decent sound equipment, I could single-handedly do a better dub of DBZ. GT wasn't great to begin with (it was the product of Toei wanting to get more money out of the DB series). Funimation decided it would be a good idea to cut large portions of entire episodes out. The voices are fine, the script is just ****ing terrible. If I ever find out the person at Funimation who decided to dub DBZ as a kiddie show, I will seriously stab them in the face with a baseball bat. Yes, I'll stab them with a baseball bat. Thank you for bearing with me on this rant, and I apologize for taking your time.

I'm just happy that I was able to watch every episode, American and non-American. Along with all the other stuff that goes with DB.

BTW, I know that DB AF isn't real, and that it is fan produced, but I think it would be cool if someone made it real. Just not FUNimation.

Unless you own the rights to the Dragon Ball series, then no, you cant.

There was a brief moment when I was into DBZ...but that was all.

But I would like to see the final episode...you know, kind of like how people will watch a execution...so that I know that it is finally over.

Yeah, sure it's over but how long do you think it's gonna be until CN is gonna stop showing it?
Just think about how many times they've showed the Cowboy Bebop series. Then think about
how many 7-12 year-olds watch DBZ more than Cowboy Bebop

All the battles drag on forever.

Except that one battle with Super Android 17, ended in 1 episode.

Maybe its not over just yet, I just saw that they're showing the DBGT Lost Episodes. I'm not sure how long it'll run though, and its not a new storyline.

Lost Episodes? OMG. Die already! I'm sad but the Lost episodes have ruined it now!
I'll still watch though. ^_^

"Lost Episodes" aren't new. The one they showed today wasn't even a lost episode, it was just the very beginning of the GT saga.

You only think it's a lost episode because it's been so long since they were at that point in the plot. It's kinda similar to ending the Freiza saga and then showing the first Raditz episode as a "lost episode".

Actually, Funimation ****ed up big time on this one. When they began to dub GT, they decided to chop the first 15 or so episodes in order to make like 2 episodes. This really pissed me off, and that's most of why I never bothered to begin watching it. Well, now that Cartoon Network is done airing the show, I guess Funimation decided to go back and dub those 15 episodes and air them just to scrape a little more money out of the DragonBall franchise.

Crap, I missed it. DBZ was when I started watching anime. Then I grew onto Gundam wing. Thank God for Wing Zero Custom and The Enless Waltz.

I found DBZ to be a real fun anime to just sit around and watch, either to make fun of the cheesy voice actors, or just have random people ask why the people were glowing yellow....

Anyways, I really liked DBZ and watched the whole series. I was glad DBZ ended when it did though, i was getting a little tired of every new villain being the worst thing ever. And i was getting tired of there being a more and more powerful level of Super Saiyan to get to.

The fusion stuff was cool, and super saiyan 3 was not too bad either, and i'm glad that all that bs was thrown aside for the spirit bomb to end the series.

When GT came out, I just saw the same stuff over and over, well, for the first few episodes anyways, more badder bad guys, more power, yeah yeah..... It's alright up until DBZ ends, at least action wise, other than that, no... just no...

I can't watch any of those machine animes. I want to see fists smacking bad guys in da face! This is why i fell in luv wit dbz. I watched every last drop; and i'm proud of it. I enjoyed every part of the last episode until the very end where Goku becomes the dragonballs/flies off with shenron (to spend a romantic evening amongst the cloudtops?)
