I have played sm with 1 hand 3 fingers for about 2 years now and i think its time to try my hand at index.
i was just wondering once i learn how to play sm with index will i get worse at playing with 1 hand after time... or is it like riding a bike... will i never forget?

just wondering beacuse i still want to be good with one hand but i want to go beyond the 1 hand limits and try index...

thanks in adavance.

YOUVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 2 YEARS?

Post some scores!
You could be up there with Kilga and Moogy for one handers.
I would stay with 1 hand if I were you.

It won't be so much of an issue for your mind to keep up, it will just be your hand that will not be able to keep up if you don't play one handed for a while.

I seriously doubt it. Most people that have played for years suck shit at everything and can barely A MAX300.

yea Moogy's not entirly right but im not amazing my best AAA is max300 2x and thats really not much... i can read fast speeds and stuff but i don't play really often... im not amazing but i am above many and i can pass lots of 2 hander songs.

and im not one to post my scores... now a days it takes to much effeort to prove it.

AAA Max300 2x music speed or scroll rate?

I am assuming scroll rate, because 2x music would be a retarded thing to claim.

yea sorry i didn't specify 2x scroll rate tho i can beat it on 2x scroll and 1.4 rate

I am currently trying to learn 4 fingers, but that doesn't damper my index playing abilities. So I say it won't change.

Go ahead and try indexes. Trying new styles is always fun...just try not to completely neglect your one-handed playing. Always play a few songs one-handed so you don't lose that dexterity and endurance if you want to stay pretty good at one-handed.

Four Fingers is natural but I LOVE to play with my middle fingers like indexes. Its the only way I can do songs with long streams like NGCBD, Stunt Flying, Max 300, and CIA Rave.

It won't affect your 1-hand skill. I should know, I'm getting pretty good with indexes (near where I am with 1 hand, but not quite... can't pass some harder songs and only B-A some of the easier ones), but my 1-hand skill hasn't gone down at all.

if you want to be the best, you should play four finger. changing styles is just something you have to force your mind to do. i tried changing from index to four finger and i had to force myself not to automatically switch back. just practice with it, and you'll eventually get it.
