There's really nothing in this file that justifies the 9 imo - the short 32nd bursts flow easily and the file caps out at 12 NPS.

Compare that with other 8s like Feeling This Remix, {Red Alert}, On Conquest and Capture, Smash Podcast and so on - this file is easier than all of those, the bursts being more spaced out, briefer and with less NPS for the first two.

Also fwiw this file has like 80 notes less than the first Satori which is full of awkward-as-hell 24th trills and 16th jumptrills in the middle - and that's only an 8.

Yeah, there's no way this should be a 9. The bursts aren't fast, just a little awkward rhythmically.

Wow, I was considering bringing this song up too. This is a horrible misrating, haha.

The first version boasts more of a challenge than this, and it happens to be rated an 8. The bursts are short, and they flow very well. Mid 8, at best.

Since the v2 version took out the awkward and terrible intro rolls that the original featured, this song has gained no difficulty, but has lost quite a bit. The only difficult part may be the jacks for some players (I did not find them too challenging), but overall I think this is best suited as a low-mid 8, mainly because the bursts keep a little bit of difficulty in there for novices.

There needs to be some way to fast forward this sort of case...fifty votes for a consensus seems kind of much, considering this case is as clear-cut as they come. It's a mid 8, not even a high one haha.

The problem with this kind of rating discussion is that a lot of the community won't give involved. Even the most obvious cases won't be resolved this way, because it seems like a massive approval is necessary. Not a lot of people seem to care about this particular difficulty range, either (my {Firestorm} and The Final Fantasy threads got little to no attention).

There's already such a strong consensus (I'll add my +1 to this as well) that it should be an 8, why wait? If someone objects to the change then we can start a meaningful discussion that way perhaps.

I just played it, and I'll say that the 32nds are awkward, mixed in with the stream which may be difficult for someone new to the "8" difficulty to combo, or at least get a clean FC. Normally I would say it should stay as a 9, but the intro is way too easy compared to the original. If the intro matched the rest of the song, I would say low 9.

I'll support this, though. It feels like a mid-8, with only 3 or 4 tricky 32nd parts.

I care about this difficulty range, and I will tell you conclusively, V1 is harder than V2, and neither of them is a 9.

{Satori} V2 should absolutely go from a 9 to an 8.

Also V1 is vastly superior to V2, I -love- the rolls/trills at the beginning of V1

My level of skill falls somewhere in the 9-range, but I was able to easily FC this song the first time I played it. To me, it felt like a low 8.
