Is it just happening to me or does everyone else get the lag from the game, i know that my internet connection is good so i am not worried at all about that and i am on a new MacBook Pro so it wouldn't be slow either. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else besides myself ?

Hit the Quality button twice, the game will look worse, but you won't feel any lag.

Get alienware.

Rofl, They sell comps for like x3 the normal price just cuz of flashy lights everywhere and desing. same kind of comps for a lot cheaper than alienwares can be found easily. Mine actually is pretty good and only cost 1300$.

Why is everyone trolling?

FFR lags because you have flash 10 installed on your browser, if you want no lag you need a flash 9 standalone.

Hey, hey, I was joking. Also, I DID give a legitimate answer.

Hmmmm, can't remember all my specs exactly but some of them:
i7 processor, turbo boost too. dont remember GHz but same I think.
windows 7
6GB (Man, why 8 srsly, wtf will you do with that?)
1To Space (7200rpm too i think) [this for movies]
same graphs
17.3" HD
Sound Blaster FX added.

Oh and mine is a laptop. With these specs I run:
WoW - Ultra graphics tiny lag (45 FPS), other resolutions are 60 FPS no lag.
5+ youtube music vids on 1080p, no lag.
didn't try many games at once though.

is the flash 9 standalone seriously that much better for FFR than flash 10?

FFR's 30fps is all choppy to me, i'm much more used to ThirdStyle's 60fps

This engine also uses the ancient as2 right?

On Velocity:
Flash 9 > Flash 8 > Flash 10

On Legacy:
Flash 8 > Flash 9 > Flash 10

Also, stfu you stupid thirdstyle noob. 30fps vs 60fps is basically impossible to tell apart.
And yes, FFR is built in AS2, but a new engine built in AS3 is being worked on.

i can tell 30 to 60 easily.
Specially when it comes to playing at higher speeds.

no matter what graphic setting i have it on with some songs there is lag, even when i playing in low res i get some lag sometimes.

Very easy to tell apart, actually...
Especially when framers come into play.

I just went back and tried thirdstyle, it feels laggier than FFR. By a lot. And the column is too long (inb4 screencut) and too thin (it needs to be wider). The arrows are too small, etc.
Visually, 30fps will barely look different to 60fps to the human eye, but yes I will agree in gameplay it's smoother in terms of framers and whatnot. But I still like my 30fps gameplay more.

Cool, you didn't read what anyone said. USE STANDALONE.

If you are using the /play, i am disappoint. Use /play#use-direct (http://thirdstyle.com/play#use-direct)
or
/play#use-gpu (http://thirdstyle.com/play#use-gpu)
or
This, in flash 10 standalone for best results (http://thirdstyle.com/game/files/gameloader.swf)

Note: actionscript 2 can barely be called a programming language, it's garbage, ffr will recode in as3? right? o.o
And the column is too long (inb4 screencut) and too thin (it needs to be wider). The arrows are too small, etc.

A matter of opinion eg. Stepmania 3.9 is 351pxpx, ssc/5 is 409pxpx, thirdstyle is 535x i play both thirdstyle and ffr, and to me thirdstyle is the better length when you get used to it. Also you don'tt really need to screencut, just increase your a-mod to compensate *Cough* *Cough* (http://thirdstyle.com/forum/showthread.php/450-Thirdstyle-Songs-Levels-Engine-Information-Thread)

I've seen it it on tv, where they switch from 30/60 and back several times, you can clearly see that the 60fps is smoother. and to me, 30fps is just really choppy now and my reactions are all out because of it.
