As far as St. Scarhand goes in my opinion, leave it as a token. I mean, what else would there be for me to try and achieve now that I have Oni (goes for everyone else with it too)? All the other hard tokens Kire Kire, Metro, OMGWTF are waaay out of my league as of right now, St. Scarhand's the next milestone I gotta get before that even. So I prefer it that way. Besides, most of us would fail it anyway, even if it was public. So I'll just stick to playing the DF version (which is just as fun, just not as hard for those of you who can AAA FFR's version).

Really my solution to the start of that file was just to spam replays until I got a good run. It's such a crapshoot, one advice I can give though is try to get early perfects on the right-hand arrow of the (24) jumps, that way you can be ahead on your right hand for the (34)s coming up. I've AAA'd the start just once (and promptly screwed up the left-hand jack immediately after out of surprise haha) but I've gotten 1-3 goods many times using that strategy.

My problem is always that I derp on one of the long (34) 16th jacks or the short left-hand 24th jacks afterward. Such ragebait >_<

This was my best of a few attempts. I dumped goods on some random easy polyrhythm parts in the first half that I usually only get 1 or 2 goods on at worst, but this was definitely the run I did the best on the ending.

That's what happened in my Kyrie run. Got it in some random easy jack before the two trills and was like "eh I'll keep going just for practice" then ofc AAA both the hard trills and the ending.


Usually when you lose the AAA early on, you relax your muscles and play more fluidly, which is why sometimes you have those things where you keep going and do better than usual. Try to be as relaxed as possible throughout. People joke about having nerves at the end, but it's a real thing- your heart rate increases and you tense up muscles in your arms and hand that are usually more relaxed, which gets in the way of your normal PA. This is a classic "fight or flight" sort of human reaction when faced with a scenario that causes pressure, even a silly scenario like doing well on a game, and it's really hard to control.

Gotta relax man. Think of how relax you are playing a 6 that you know you will AAA, and be that calm when playing 11s too.

On the plus side you know you've done it once so you will unconsciously feel a more "familiar territory" when you do it again and get less nerves ^_^

Second of all, it's boring as shit for 2 minutes then it's FMO for about 20 seconds at the end, where the patterns are terrible and it's easy to crap a good somewhere.
