That's understandable, seeing as how they are in the same subforum and all. You're starting to sound like Mans0n's "whoops meant to post in chit chat but clicked TGB silly me hehe"

I searched for "complains about finals" and clicked on the top thread cause I thought it would be the thread I was looking for, but it was ffr scores cause it's a sticky. w/e dude, I agree my post doesn't belong here but there is no reason to jump on my throat for posting something unrelated.

What the hell, ImageShack. When I upload multiple images, I want to be able to embed something larger than a thumbnail from the "Get Links And Codes For All Images" menu. I could go back and get the 640x480 versions, but that would require something resembling effort.

Plan, honestly, you and Dorby piss me off sometimes. I wasn't "crying" about the fact that I woke up at 6 AM, I was gonna post that on the "complains about finals" because I'm studying until late at night and sleeping matters to me now, since I got my exams in a week. Just noticed the "multiple image" part of your post. Hopefully I don't have to make another screenshot example, but it's basically the same.

After your images are uploaded and you see the small thumbnails of them, just click on one and to the right hand side of the page there are the words "Embed This Image" with a drop-down looking arrow next to it. Click that and you'll have the image embedding links, including a forum link.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys, but I think I'll stick with ImageShack. I know about the Forum Code window that ZeroSkill posted, but that only shows up with single uploads. After a batch upload, I have to go to each individual image in the album to get the code necessary. Hence the "something resembling effort" part, which was intended to be a tongue-in-cheek joke.

Also, 640x480 because it does not cause undue horizontal stretch while retaining a good amount of detail. Jeez, no sense of humor. The scores were 5-0-0-1 on TGWP3 and AAA on Witches Hat.

I thought what I'd do was I'd go to BB Codes and add them in right away instead of Direct Links and adding the tags manually.

The ratings over at DF need a brush up i suppose than, cause Ivaltek is rated a 40 and Tageri is a 42 which would designated 41 being the highest. Personally, I think its a mid-high FMO due to the just speed and constant steps for the majority of the chart.

Don't even attempt FMO/FGOs as of now..

Work your way up from VC songs.

Also, try not to mash - it doesn't help you learn to read more complex patterns..

When should I start doing FMOs? I don't really have any problem with VCs.. except maybe M.A.M.A. being the one exception to that.

It helps to pause and view the file at your own pace (which I admittedly should do more).

Also, assuming you don't have an issue with VCs, start with very high VCs to low FMOs. For instance, the song Floating Hour used to be a 10, but is now an FMO; same with Clockwork. Try FMOs that are more or less "VCs" for a large part of the song...maybe the two long Virt files: Night and Day; Thrash.

Thrash is a bit too jacky for me to be any good at it, but Night and Day I could FC if I gave it some serious practice.

Edit: sorry, other way a round. Thrash I could FC.

Since you need jack practice, play Starlight. It's not difficult to read, but it is some jacking practice.
How are you with reading streams?
Also if you need burst practice, try Didj PVC or whatever it's called. I dunno what other 10s are bursty.

Jacks are really my only weak point. Streams, jumpstreams (mostly), bursts, and off-beats (Robotix is the only example I can think of, or Witches Hat) I'm pretty good with. I SDG Didj PVC easy enough. :3

The only thing that has truly been helpful to me, has been playing several difficult songs (high FGO's in my case) and then switching immediately to 10s and 11s, this way I get the feeling that the song is easy and i usually get better scores. lol I'm just trying to trick my own mind.

Hmm. Jacky songs...maybe practice jumpy songs that would create a lot of minijacks. Try Puzzle, Across Rooftops ending, Electro Rush v2, Almost There, jumpy parts of Reality, Eradication, even Strangeprogram in the middle of the song. I know there are a lot more I haven't listed yet...

Puzzle's alright, Across Rooftops is fine too (the only part I have trouble with is the jacks at the end and the purple stream in the middle), Electro Rush is too challenging of an FGO period, Almost There is mashtastic, Eradication is too hard of an FMO, Strangeprogram is alright but I don't have the stamina for those stream so I end up getting a bunch of misses in a row before recovering.

I don't think I have those for SM. I don't play a lot of SM anyway, I mostly just use it for stepping.

Didj PVC is one of those files I always found easy to PA, but hard to AAA. It's so easy to derp like 1 or 2 goods.

Some other jacky/bursty VCs that come to mind for me include Infiltration, He's A Pirate, Angel Island Remix (yay rainbow trills!), Balloon Fever and Doomsayer, though the last one is more infamous in my mind for its jumpstream.

Oh god, 3020. I've only FCed that twice because if I try to mirror it so the roll sections go right to left which I have an easier time with, the jumpjacks go on my left hand, which makes the "climax" part total aids.

lol, it just sucks in relation of what I *used* to be capable of. Not playing FFR for over a year really put a dent in whatever skill I used to have. Working on getting it back though 8].

I'll be back up to AAA'ing 10's and SDG'ing FMO's again soon enough! :D

A lot of his AAA's like EHHS, Rottel, Church bells, Melonman's OP, SP, and Yorukumoryou Y are things I have a blackflag or mindblock on. But his FGO scores are a lot better than mine, most of them.

That's actually a pretty sick DP run AJ. I think you could shave off some goods at the beginning part though. The thing that surprised me the most was how you were PAing that one sped up doubles part because i tend to have trouble with those most of the time haha.

PS: Schmollbulk is a pretty gay file IMO

I'm so mad at myself where the miss was, though -- I practically had a dyslexic moment; I think I was at 16g before I failed out...

I am not physically fast enough to hit that trill...I have to overlay it. I'm not ashamed to admit it; it should be fairly obvious considering I'm fairly crappy at songs with fast jacks/trills.

Getting into that last trill is ridiculously difficult. The rest of the song is AAA fodder, though.

Yeah, I've gotten a pretty good understanding of how my hands should react to each specific burst (i.e. cheating vs. actually rolling), and there's no set pattern for choosing when, because I'm rolling a few of the longer bursts too.

Practice is definitely helping on this song, though. The jumpstreams in the song feel like a side mission because I barely even pay attention to them.

That Reality was my first run actually being able to read each note instead of accurately mashing. I'll aim to improve that later. Also nice scores. Slashmaid x.x how you do that?

Sweet FN score! It's actually a little sad that 2g is rank 53, though.

And as far as Slashmaid, I'm making it more of an objective to not try to cheat patterns - I'm trying to blow through them using raw speed. It's tough, but I actually do have the potential to keep up with just about everything in the song without cheating. I can even handle that first nasty looking roll without too much effort now.
