It's not even cool. Katy Perry was heavily attacked by mothers for showing "too much cleavage" when it was Elmo doing the damage. C'mon Kevin Clash, really? You had one job, support the kids of America with a fun learning experience. You could've just dated people at least 5-6 years older, gay teenage boys know nothing about sex. You're in your 40's dude, really? Now every time Elmo goes "hehehe that tickles!" I'm going to have the disgusting image of you in bed with a teenage boy using that devilish voice. Kevin man, you really fawked up on this one, you went beyond ruining childhoods, you scarred toy boxes everywhere. Romney was right, Sesame Street is corrupt...

So the Golden Rule is everywhere; Confucianism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, etc. People like to live by the idea that you treat others how you'd like to be treated. I disagree.

The reason I don't abide by that philosophy is because not everyone wants to be treated the same. It's as simple as that. Some people want to be held responsible for their bad deeds, some people want to be treated like a king and excused. Some want respect and others want to fight for it. Some people want support for their wrongdoings and others want you to do wrong for them, they'll do that and encourage that of you because it's what they want done for them.

So I treat people the way they ask to be treated, not how I like to be treated. If I don't agree with it I either walk away or tolerate it if it's a situation I have to endure. There's nothing more to it.
