I've started looking, I'm always searching, but I'm never finding what I set out to gain in the first place. But I'm always laughing, always smiling, endlessly joking, but I don't think I ever stopped crying. And I've always been walking, always been moving, going forward in life, but I have never stopped looking back.

Silence is the whisper on a willow wisp of a wind.

Silence is the end to what will never begin.

Silence is the unbreakable, unkillable, and the unripped.

Silence is the book that will never be written.

Silence is the eternal death of the dead.

Silence is what will never, forever, mend.

Silence is the wound that never heals.

Silence is the thing that never feels.

Silence is the sign of almost certain doom.

Silence is a flower that will never bloom.

Silence is the name I have given this poem.

And silence is what will one day leave you alone.

Are you who you are because that's who you want to be? Or are you who your friends want you to be?

You can build and build, you can work on something, you can pour your heart and soul into something and all it takes is one person to destroy it for us. Only one person to ruin it for us. Only one person and one action to shack our souls and shatter our hearts. That's how powerful a person can be. There is only one thing you can do about it once it happens, and that's whatever it takes to get by and be able to live with yourself. You may not know what to think, what to feel, or what to do. You just have to do what you need to to just get by and be done with it. If it's just trying to forget about it or completely braking off contact with someone. Whatever it takes to find out what to feel, what to do, what to think. Whatever you need to survive. That's how you'll get by.

People live their lives the way they want to. And most commonly that way is fast. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you get caught up in the fast lane, you could loss yourself. So you have to slow down sometimes to remind yourself who you are and who you want to be. Do that and life won't just fly by you and you will be able to enjoy it.
Now for those who live life slowly, there's nothing wrong with that either. But sometimes you have to speed up, too. Live life too slow for too long and it will start to feel drug out and boring. That's when life losses it's meaning. So put the pedal to the metal every once in a while so life doesn't turn into a big bore.
