So, lately I have been playing lvl 8 songs to try to improve the scores that I gotten on them. Things have been going well, with me being able to raise my score enough to get a 4-digit number rank on the songs I have been playing. Tonight, I decided to improve my score on Incognito (a song that I haven't played in more than a year). Once I finished the song, a message pops up saying that I unlocked Incognito V2. Needless to say, that shocked me since I didn't recall a skill token being associated with that song. So I went to the skill token page to look it up, and lo and behold, there the requirement saying that one must get less than 150 good and less than 40 misses to unlock this skill token.

Overall, it a nice way of showing how much I improved since when the skill token initially came out, I was unable to meet the requirements to get it.

Edit (8-27-08):
Well today I unlocked another skill token. This time I unlocked the token song "Unknown Girl". The song that I used to unlock it was Song For the Nihonjins. I almost FC that song too, but I missed near the end. Oh well, at least I achieved a new high max combo.

Well, I thought it was about time to write up a new thought instead of editing an existing one. This post will list all the songs released during the tournament that I have FC. So far I have FC 2 of them and those song are "The Rhythm of Life" and "Hyperactivity".

Edit (6-17-08): FC "Theme of the Dragoon Knights". I wasn't going to take a screenshot, but it listed my rank as 100, which I thought was interesting. So I took a pic.

Well it been about a month and I have not FC any more songs that were part of the tournament, which goes to show that it was a good thing that I didn't sign up to participate. That does not mean that I haven't FC any other songs since that time. However those songs I FC during this month were not part of the tournament, so I didn't write a thought about them.

In other news, I have decided to try playing FFR using the spread style. (Previously I used the index style and the arrows keys.) While using this style has enabled me to FC songs that I could not FC before, it has the drawback of me hitting more boos while getting those FC. Hopefully, my fingers will get use to it and it will stop stiffening up at inconvenient times.

Finally, I AAA the song London Bridge using spread style.

I got my 36th AAA on Strategem. I hope that this AAA will should up in the Tier Point area unlike my Baby Don't You Want Me, which still hasn't shown up on the list even though I AAA that song over a month ago.

In other news, my graduation date has been moved back Dec. 08. The reason being that I had to drop a class and it was a class I needed to graduate. Maybe I have better luck in that class in the Fall. (This is assuming I will be able to pay for the Fall tuition.)

Edit (4-29-08): I have once again FC Ancient's Death. I have been trying to FC that song again for month and I somehow always messed up at the 56 step. It got to the point that I thought the first FC was a fluke, but no more. Now I have to just record the video and put it on Youtube.

*Edit (5-1-08): My Tier Point AAA count has been updated. It states that I AAA 37 songs, not 35 like I thought. So Strategem was my 36th AAA and Pita was my 37th. It makes me wonder how I lost count like that.

In December of 2007, my laptop went on the fritz and I had to borrow a laptop from the UConn School of Business. Well, once again, my laptop decided that it didn't want to work. The good news is that this time it is not such a huge problem. The only thing wrong with the is the fact that the suspension button responsible for turning off the monitor when you close the lid (when the laptop still running) decided to get stuck in the off position. So the button has to be replaced.

Why is it so important to have the button replaced? The answer is simple, if it's not replaced then I will constantly have to poke the button in order to see what I am doing on the laptop screen.

At least this time the loaner laptop is the same model as my laptop. So I could still play FFR if I wanted to.

Edit (5:30pm EST): I got my laptop back, but I'm not sure if it's mine or not. The manufacture sticker that was on the left (in the area where my palm rests when I am typing) isn't there anymore. Also the company's logo looks new, where before I could see wearing on it. Yet the keyboard that I have is the same. Maybe the only way they could have replaced the suspension button was to put a new cover on. Either that or they did a thorough job cleaning my laptop before returning it to me.

I got my 24th Public AAA on Love in the Hip-Hop section. In total, this is my 33rd AAA.

Edit (2/5/08): I just FC Diamond Heart in Dance. Now if I can only find Beethoven.
