Maybe I just don't understand what's so "safe" about it. If Zenith is telling the truth, and I have no reason to doubt it at the moment, why the hell would we lynch a role that's essentially a town with a different win-con?

Basically because he's going to have to die at some point. He's a guaranteed loss for the town if the game gets to 3 people. There are also loyalty issues if the game gets to like 5 players. The wolves won't kill him because of those issues so he will almost certainly be alive if it gets to that point.

We can learn more about other potential lynches during the night phase but there's not much more we can learn about Zenith.

Not to mention the outside chance he's lying about being the survivor and is actually a wolf, SK, or CL
