Yes thornmail totally counters a Tryndamere that can heal himself for chunks of damage at a time and an ult duration that makes him quite literally unkillable.

I was building one, but couldn't afford it.

It didn't really matter anyway. He wasn't targeting me during team fights. He blew up our squishes in a few seconds and after that we were outnumbered anyway.

A better strategy is just to never feed him. I find he's...actually a horrible champion if he doesn't get fed. He's just so useless if he can't run in there and blow you away really quickly. But after he reaches that stage... I don't know. I feel like if you can't CC him and keep him away from your carries you're going to get ripped apart.

Personally, if I'm playing Singed, I'd much rather see Trynd than Ryze. God damn that mother ****er. Laning top against Ryze (thankfully almost nobody runs Ryze top) as Singed might just be the worst thing in league of legends.

Riven and Shyvana are also insanely annoying. Maybe not more than Trynd, but annoying none the less. Neither die and can beat the shit out of you.


But Xerath is probably the worst (best) of the new champions by a long shot. Screw Trynd. I haven't seen many people playing him really, but he's so OP right now it's not even funny.

I don't even see how any champion in the game can possibly lane against Xerath w/ blue and not die. Repeatedly, without getting any CS. Even anti AP carries like Kassadin get annihilated by this guy. Granted, you need to be able to land his skill shots, but that mother ****er can sit back and never die and dish out a retarded amount of damage. He can poke you indefinitely from safe range while CSing and you can't just take it, since if you get caught in a stun and he lands his full combo on you, you're dead.

Only possible way to do anything to him at all is to gank him, and even then it almost never happens (who needs to overextend when you're xerath? ;o). Not to mention his dominion extends to team fights, since he can initiate fights without even being in them.

heavy pre-6 punish characters like zil and cass and maaaaybe brand can take xerath in a lane head on, but then all the xerath player has to do is passive spam q to farm

xerath will probably be nerfed soon considering he's a little too strong in every phase of the game. kinda like if caitlyn had grave's early game burst
