msnbc shows more bias than foxnews does imo. i can think of a couple quick examples from the top of my head

tea partiers being branded as racists with high power rifles when the dude actually attending the rally with the rifle on his back was black, but was cut out of the shot

george zimmerman audio clip placement

romney being 'amazed' over ordering sandwiches and drinks to make him seem 'out of touch'

pretty much anything having right-of-center views is considered radical to you guys and it's just weird. foxnews is killing other MSM and talk radio with their viewers/listeners, you woulda thunk by now there would be more conservative media by now

I can't help but think the only reason this happened is because the media reliably plasters this shit all over the news for weeks with pictures of the killer to the point of glorifying the mother fucker in a sort of antagonist type of way.

I fail to see motive otherwise, mental health issues and all.

Schools shouldn't need security. I can walk freely into the elementary across the street, where I went and felt safe as a child. I'm in Canada, and maybe this has something to do with gun laws, but I have a nagging feeling it's not the whole story.

I sincerely doubt they contribute all that much. No studies support that claim, and the ones that do have been found problematic. Even SCOTUS has made it pretty clear:

In my undergrad we actually covered this really extensively in one of my classes. There is a decent amount of literature on videogames and violence and very little of it supports the hypothesis that videogames contribute directly to violence among youths.

The only thing they found was that in youths that already had violent tendencies prior to the video game exposure, they could potentially exacerbate their aggression.

I guess that shouldn't be surprising. Kids that already have psychotic tendencies may respond to these types of stimuli, but they're hardly driving people to shoot up a bunch of innocent kids in a school. As your reference pointed out, they mostly increased the frequency of minor aggression, and they certainly aren't influencing the decisions made by children that are sane in the first place.

When I heard about this, I wept. Sometimes, it's too much to think about how awful we can be...my condolences to everyone that perished today (except for the gunman himself.)

So I just recently started reading some of the more recent reports on this. I found this particularly interesting:

"Dr. Carver, the medical examiner, said it appears that all the children were gunned down by the military-style rifle. Authorities said all the weapons were legally owned and registered by Nancy Lanza, the shooter's mother."

They claimed that the police found the rifle in the trunk/back of a car yesterday. So this puts me back to my question of how he got into the school with a rifle. I just feel like there's still a huge piece of this picture missing. They say he "forced" his way into the school, but shouldn't someone have noticed this and notified police immediately? I just, I don't know. Something just still feels very off with these reports and information they're giving.

None of the articles I read stated that. Still doesn't explain why the police said they found the rifle in the car when they were shot with it according to the medical examiner.
