I never self-reflect, and therefore, I have no negative thoughts about myself. However I am also aware about my successes.
I may post a before and after pic once I get down to my weight goal. Excuse my ignorance and if it's been already talked about in this thread before, but I wanted the opinions of others about The Insanity Workout.
It has worked for me, and I lost about 15-20lbs of weight from it (although I've only done the first month, then I quit out because the recovery week was boring me, but I do plan to jump back on it some time after my surgery this Friday). I stopped, gained back the weight, then lost it again, but I plan on doing the whole 2 months when I fully recover from the neck-lymph-node surgery. I just wanted to know what others think of it. It's done what I wanted it to do, which was to lose fat, but have a nice toned body (though not too muscular) at the same time instead of just going skinny.
I wanna start jogging but, I have an issue with feeling judged also. I also have a hard time finding the motivation. When i was younger, i was pretty overweight, and was made fun of by kids at school for it, so that was my motivation to lose weight. I was successful, got down to an average size for my height. But over the years i've grown lazy, and can't find the motivation, and i no longer have the asshole kids to fuel me(lol). What do?! :/.
I'm doing this along with a twice-a-week workout routine. Sign up for Fitocracy and set up a schedule for working out! (that's why I posted about adjustable dumbbells rofl).
I'm probably gonna just get a pair of 20 lb dumbbells this Friday when I get paid, and get larger ones once I get stronger.

Yeah fitocracy is awesome especially when you're starting out, as it's a great source of motivation and helps to keep you on track.
I don't think I use it much anymore because...I don't really need motivation. I go to the gym now because I want to. I'm kind of addicted actually. It stresses me out and drives me crazy if I can't make a gym session. I need DAT PUMP.
Got snowed in on sunday and couldn't go. FUCK. And if it was anything other than leg day I'd do a body weight workout but...it was leg day. ;(
IRON AND THE SOUL by Henry Rollins I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. To not be like your parents. To not be like your friends. To be yourself. Completely. When I was young I had no sense of myself. All I was, was a product of all the fear and humiliation I … Continue reading "Iron and The Soul by Henry Rollins"
Henry Rollins pretty much nails it for me. I've fought with major depression since I've been a child, and the only thing that makes me feel alive is being able to go lift heavy shit.
EDIT: oh shit, new diet plan wants 26 egg whites a day. ahhhh!
idk what my last post was it was at like 700 lbs but yesterday i got 825 lbs on the vertical leg press and up to 300 lbs on calve(calf?) lift is what its called i think i cant remember for my life right now hahaha (a machine where you put the weight on and use your calves to press the weight directly up while using your front of the foot to press up with)
