It's like I post here once every four months now.
First and foremost is my new favorite song that I cannot thank Kefit enough for telling me about. Wing My Way by Kotoko. The second version of the song is the best. I, of course, have both versions, but since I heard the remix before the original, I like the remix better. That, and the remix is just so much better. If you are looking for it, the version to which I am referring is the one with a length of ~6:40
Ouran High School Host Club has captivated my interest from the start, and ever since I saw the first episode I knew that I had to have the full versions of the OP and ED. Took forever for either to come out, but eventually Shissou and Sakura Kiss were released, and the full versions were just as good as the TV versions.
Leave it to Maaya Sakamoto to continue making hit songs. Kazemachi Jet is the ED to the new season of Tsubasa Chronicle. Not as good as Loop, but it's growing on me. Speaking of Tsubasa Chronicle, I hadn't heard one of the songs on the original OST until the new season rolled around, and as soon as I heard it, I knew I had to have it. The song is simply called Tsubasa and it's by FictionJunction / KAORI.
On the other side of the spectrum of happy female music is the intro to Gantz. Rip Slyme did a great job on Super Shooter, the intro theme. It was funny sending the song to Omega only to have him gape at the name of the band and go "I know them, I made a thread about them! *link*" Turns out they have loads of music videos on Youtube. None for this song, but there is a live performance of it.
Sometimes I can be stupid about anime-watching and stop right in the middle of a series, right before the "best episode". In fact it's happened three times in two months. I was incredibly stupid for not wanting to finish Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, even after I wrote the plot line that adorns the AnimeNewsNetwork page for it. I left off on 7 and watched 8-13 in one night. Messaged Kefit after watching 10 and he guaranteed that I'd like the remainders. After 11, I messaged him again begging for the song that played during that episode, Snow Rain. While that was going, I watched 12, only to have another awesome song play, Brave Phoenix. Begged him for that too. Heck, this is the same day I got Wing My Way =o
Fate/Stay Night turned out to be a pretty good show in the end, even if it angered Kefit to not turn out how he would have liked it. I still liked the intro theme, Disillusion.
As it turns out, recent days have gotten me interested in non-anime music again. For shame. I need to watch more stuff and get more songs.Comment

I agree. The full version of Shissou is awesome. Sakura kiss is cool too but to be honest I like the way the song was arranged for the OP. Still I love it when the show does classical versions of the OP. Two songs I haven't seen mentioned, well maybe one was, can't remember:
Scarlet (Instrumental) - Ayashi no Ceres
and
Shizuku - GTO (2nd Ending)
also, probably my favourite song from any anime would have to be Futsuu no Nichiyoubi (Stepping out) from Hana Yori Dango. It's definitely got a distinct sound that may require a few listens to get used to. Most people hate it but I can't get over how catchy it is.
