Or we could complain about it so something gets done, instead of it just disappearing only to have people say "oh yeah I guess that didn't happen this year."

What are these "intentions"? Are they just "yeah... I was thinking about doing that" or are they actually plans that have been laid out and are being worked on?

She actually brought it up in Events chat without any sort of prior discussion before the new year, but ended up getting swamped with other engagements. I approached her about it in profile chat to see if anything had gotten done, and she said that she was going to get to it as soon as she could.

Saying that you could "complain" about it rather than just making an honest inquiry makes you look rude, by the way. How hard is it to simply ask?

Why is it that only Sky Kitten has the ability to do this? You're an events team, aren't you? Having a yearly event, which usually starts in Late-November, Early-December, only start to be really conceived by early January isn't exactly what I would call being on top of the ball.

Why are you guys unable to talk things out with each other? A similar situation with the Facebook page happened not too long ago. I know you guys have your own schedules, but this behaviour isn't exactly professional.

As a normal user I'm getting kinda fed up dealing with the uncertainties. Get your acts together and stop making excuses. God damn.

Why? Why does it have to be this whole "oh better not tread on eggshells" hassle?

In the end, I'm really sorry if I'm making things difficult for you guys. I understand you guys have lives. I just would like it if the FFR Staff would be a bit more honest, and if they would communicate with us more, it would really clear up these questions.

Again, this is just another instance of misunderstanding about what's going on. The forum awards was never something run by Events staff because it's not an actual, prize-paying event -- it was done by forum moderation. I have no part in that whatsoever; it was never included in the Events calendar for 2014 for that same reason, because I was under the impression that it was going to be handled. I absolutely do not appreciate you chastising the Events team when we've actually been doing a good job communicating with one another to get things done.

If you were paying enough attention in the thread in regards to the Facebook account, I got the Facebook account back within a week of messaging nois-or-e for the access, and I have still been actively messaging him because Zageron and I only received Content Creator positions for the page, rather than the administrative/management title. I've been posting on the Facebook ever since reacquiring it again, adding Songs of the Week updates to it whenever songs come out. Heck, I even promoted badman7772's Tournament of Darkness on there. I've also started adding front page posts to the site to notify the users when songs get on the game.

If you really want to go down this road and nitpick at things that are out of certain people's control, that is entirely your prerogative. If you want to actually inquire about anything you don't know/understand, I would be happy to answer your questions.

@Pseudo, I've gotta go ahead and take AJ's back on this one. He did take control with the Facebook issue, and while certain sections of FFR staff have issues communicating (and have as well in the past), I don't see that same issue with the Events staff. I worked with a few of them when I was originally going to help with the photo hunt and they were good about communicating with me consistently.

@AJ, I really do appreciate you helping out in getting the page back and posting again. I have some more hopes for the page as well but that's a necessary start. Keep up the good work.

Not sure if should drop because I really don't care either way at this point, and this has gone on long enough
or
continue hassling for the sake of getting a yearly thing done, and the fact that I've already put all this time into nagging into it would go to waste.

I mean, we gave rebound huge shit for getting a set batch notes done late, yet no one bats an eye at this. Okay bad example.
