just think about it with cait:

your AA, q, and r, scales off of AD. with a huge +dmg on those abilities, you can kill opponents easier if you first back with a bf sword and AA poke or land a q on the enemy. you've essentially won the game if you don't fuck up your snowball

an AS gain does nothing for you early except proc your passive sooner (which isn't the best since you're 125% crit has no dmg anyway)

ok core build tips for cait and what to build in what scenario

enemy team has a bruiser frontline? maybe their top lane or tanky jungler is fed?

bt -> berzerk greaves -> pd -> lw (in some order for items prior to the full item)

enemy team all poke and more or less squishy targets?

ie -> vamp scepter -> berzerk -> pd (you get vamp scepter bc with the 6/4% on runes youll be set for lifesteal.. essentially you deal more damage to squishy targets with ie over lw bc they have no armor or maybe not so much armor to the point its worth getting lw)

and uhhh thats really the core items. etc items

botrk: 6th item if you don't need ga; makes you ~motherfucker dps caitlyn~
ga: 6th/5th item if youre fed/prime target for the enemy team
banshee's veil: 4th~6th item vs poke comps or champions with high one target damage abilities
scimitar: close to never but if you do a 5th/6th item, maybe if you needed qss for a team with a lot of cc you just upgrade it to this as a 6th item
bt: if you don't have it as a part of your core due to squishy targets, just upgrade the vamp scepter. always have this item
ie: you don't ALWAYS need this item; it's really high cost with high stats and amazing passive does not mean its 100% efficient vs every matchup
hurricane/black cleaver: lol

anything else i didn't list, do not buy it on caitlyn

also the best build i run on caitlyn bc honestly solo queue has so much less coordination than 5s or high level play in general and as long as you can macro cait well then this is perfect

ie, bt, pd, lw, botrk, berzerkers (if it goes along enough trade these for zephyr)

watch as you literally fuck the enemy team's frontlines, squishies, and anyone else who somehow manages to get in your aa range

oops i went vamp IE runaans botrk so i can get my passive 3x as fast and procs the crit and push lanes and kite effectively and shred through hp stacking tanks

do you really think i don't build that way because i do when i'm behind and we need split push and hp shred and if the enemy team has too much MR for shiv to be worth it like if my team is double ap mid/top

what i'm trying to get at is: blanket statements like "anything else i didn't list..do not buy" makes no fucking sense because you have to adapt to your team and the enemy team

i've built yomuu's on lucian because our entire team was AD

build path: BT, greaves, brutalizer, LW, yomuu's, GA, bfs <IE>
