ON had a review come out that showed they used cadmium and lead in their mixes. I dont know if they still do, but that shits poisonous as ****.

Whats the fruits and veggies part of Orange Triad?

on work out days, 5 grams before/after, on off days, 5 grams whenever.

      lmfao Reach

But yeah the whole water-retention thing was the main reason I was torn about whether or not to even get creatine in the first place. In the end, I decided that my easily-fatigued muscles/complete lack of strength could use a bit of a boost so I could get things moving.

Yikes, seriously? Googled around a bit and it seems like my particular brand (ON Platinium Hydrowhey Cookies and Cream) doesn't show up anywhere in the reports, but the Vanilla version has a trace amount of arsenic. Hmmm.

As for "fruits and veggies," I mean all the random vitamins you'd normally get from eating a diverse set of such foods. However, you get a shitload of micronutrients from eating fruits/veggies and so a supplement can really only help so much.

marcus, water retention while you are aren't at your goal body isn't that big of a deal, when you are trying to lean out is when you should worry about it

I'm trying to get as low bf% as I can, and my nutritionist/trainer dude still has me taking a ton of creatine. I promise, for the most part you aren't going to see any bloating unless you get a crap product.

            Re: The Fitness Thread

I have never taken creatine in my life, I just don't like the idea of losing strength when I get off it. I mean I'm sure I've had it in foods and what not but I feel like that is the all I need. In my head I feel like my body will become more efficient if it doesn't have to rely on cycling. I could be stupid for doing this and stronger if I took it, or maybe my body is really good at producing glycogen because of this. All I know is I'm usually stronger then people around my weight who work out like 90 percent of the time so who cares lol

Who cycles creatine...? Creatine Mono requires no cycling, I'm getting lost as to why people think you need to.

Like 20 people told me that but maybe I should have used the internet. Either way I just don't really have the money to buy so many freaking products, and I feel like making excuses instead of admitting I'm poor

Get 1000 grams of creatine mono from true nutrition. That gets you a great discount, and it'll last you forever. At just 5 grams a day, that's 200 days: almost a full year.

If you want something fancier, get some Storm too for workouts. 80 servings (again, if you work out 4 times a week, that's 20 weeks of workouts.)

hmm I will definitely look into it more and probably start soon. So if I've never taken it before I will probably get pretty swole huh?

Not really. If you're lean you'll notice a small difference. Otherwise, probably not.

You'll notice your strength go up a bit in the gym though.

There for awhile I thought it wasn't doing anything, but having missed my creatine a few times recently, I can say that I definitely feel it when I haven't taken it haha (most exercises went down a few reps).

Senip is right; creatine is essential when cutting *if your goal is to become muscular*. I'm still think you should concentrate on losing weight and worry about bodybuilding later, since unlike Senip you're untrained, but if you want to take creatine mono you'll be fine. Just make sure that you take it into account when weighing yourself (your weight is going to go up, no question about it, so don't feel discouraged when it happens. It's water).

I don't see why you'd have to cycle creatine when the whole point is just to keep the muscles saturated (as far as I know)

I stopped working out, and my diet took a huge hit. I wasn't eating ANYWHERE near what I should have been eating. Even to maintain my weight. I feel like shit, and everyone has noticed that I've lost weight and size, too. I'm starting everything back up on Monday, and I'm going hard as ****.
