Re: The Fitness Thread
To give you an idea of what types of physiques are possible without juicing:
A guy I know that has won several bodybuilding competitions up here in the great white north; he has been working out for about 5 years. He only looks like this on season: http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l4...f/DSC_0449.jpg
For most of the year though, not nearly that cut looking. It is very hard to maintain that degree of leanness without chemical assistance.
For example; Matt Ogus pre-competition: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zUfcgpAHex..._7101822_n.jpg
What he looks like normally: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/SuQ94kBbvM8/0.jpg
Not that it wouldn't be fun to take the sauce. I mean, then you can engage in narcissistic activities such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD6IjBUDFhc&t=13m45s

Speaking of roids, I met two IFBB pros at the gym today. This dude was maybe an inch or two taller than me, and he was weighin 300 pounds, with a waist smaller than mine. **** those guys. I want to get that big

Re: The Fitness Thread
You should give em a shot. I've already noticed better pumps, and fuller muscles after only a week.http://thechive.com/2012/09/21/the-f...ect-58-photos/

I'm going to get an evaluation once I get shredded up (I just paid my trainer to make up a plan/give evaluations every couple of weeks), then I'll decide. I'd have to do a ton of research and make sure I get the right dosages etc so I dont kill myself on accident. Most of the people in my gym roid it up anyways, because its more of a power lifter/bodybuilder gym than it is just general fitness peeps.Comment

Re: The Fitness Thread
Do the benchpress + overhead press not target the triceps enough, in your opinion?
Do you think regular deadlifts address the posterior chain better than SLDL? For a beginner, wouldn't squats + regular deadlifts be too ambitious or is that overestimating?
Basically playing around with everyone's suggestions in a spreadsheet right now.
Probably overthinking this shit but I have until Monday so I'm trying to fine tune everything -- might as wellLast edited by Reincarnate; 09-22-2012, 11:21 PM.Comment

Re: The Fitness Thread
I really like skull crushers using an ez grip bar for the triceps. That and dips. Been doing those for 3 months or so and my triceps have really bulked up. Started out barely being able to do a body weight dip, now I am up to 25 pounds. I find dips work your chest pretty well too.
Only thing is if you're not careful with these exercises you can really hurt your elbows. Add weight slowly, don't do them too often and use proper form. I actually think I may have slightly injured my elbows a little bit this past week doing them.Last edited by Bahamut-X; 09-22-2012, 11:25 PM.Comment

you always are overthinking things dude. Squats, Bench, and Deadlifts are essential to any fitness program that isnt bullshit.Do the benchpress + overhead press not target the triceps enough, in your opinion?

Dips hit chest if you lean forward, I like to put chains on around my neck to pull me upright to hit tris.Comment

Re: The Fitness Thread
Really, theyre only like 40-50 pounds. I know guys who wrap that shit all around their body, that is intimidating.
This guy works out at my gym.
Evan has the physique (other than a lagging chest) that I'd want.
It's too bad Kai Greene has the whole gay background (no slur on them) but because of it he's never going to win the Olympia, which is stupid.Comment

Re: The Fitness Thread
what do you mean? like being gay or being against gays... personally idc what people see on the subject, take me or leave me. its your problem, i know how great of a person i am. i just happen to be gay. whatever lol. if you can love yourself thats all that matters.
if he is gay, they should embrace the fact he came out. not penalize him
