In a fit of rage, she consumed 28 tablets of 20 mg paroxetine. Three hours later, she had an episode of vomiting and subsequently, had 2 more episodes after a gap of 3 hours. The vomitus consisted of partially dissolved tablets and watery fluid.

I don't know how much paroxetine each tablet had for Rapta when he took them, but he said he took 45. Considering there was another person that had a suicide attempt with the same drug experiencing immense pain after a few hours, it's plausible from choof's post that Rapta could have fatal symptoms "by the end of the night."

it started out slow, was a bit lightheaded at first but I thought that was due to the tramadol kicking in. hopped into bed to try to get my bearings, but then the world started to spin, so I sat up and vomited all over my room (fortunately it was just water and some bile). put on a pair of shorts and a shirt, walked outside as calmly as i could and called 911.
I honestly don't remember how time passed that night, it was a complete blur. it's really patchy. I remember walking outside, then I was suddenly at my cross streets laying on my side waiting for the ambulance. then I was on a stretcher, vomiting on a paramedic that had just told me that I might be having a heart attack.

the hospital was super choppy, I don't even remember getting there but I remember fading in and out of consciousness. all in all, there's an 8 hour span of time in which I know absolutely nothing about

but remember I only took a single tramadol while taking cymbalta as prescribed. with an overdose like this I'd imagine things would compound fairly quickly. he already mentioned that he's in pain, and serotonin is indeed related to physical nerves. he's going to be in pain for the majority of the night, for sure

I feel like regardless of mg even, 45 pills is lethal for the specific drug.

I'm not sure what measures can be taken to slow down the absorption, or to remove it entirely from his system, but hopefully he is in good hands.

It also said this drug is rarely fatal even after after taking 75x the normal dose, I assume the normal dose is 1 or 2 pills or something.
Anyway he should still call an ambulance if he really took the pills.

depends on how long he's been on it; if an anti-dep doesn't work, they increase dosage before sending you to something that's not an ssri. I was up to 40mg of prozac before I switched over to cymbalta and then the meds I'm on now. if I had taken 45 of the prozac, I would be dead. but it also looks like the ld50 of prozac is slightly higher than paxil. I'd guess that he's on 20 or 30mg, so he could be pushing a gram of the stuff.
