It's not really the "dark side" it's mechanically the better game.

I just like the feel and look of LoL more.

I heard that you are more able to carry a game by yourself in Dota2 as opposed to LoL due to how the game functions -- and it's also more hard-counter based.

And seeing as I don't feel like a) starting over in EUW b) playing with 200 ping on NA I think it's time I make the switch.

Keep in mind there's no elo to grind, and everything is unlocked from the start so there's no satisfaction in grinding wins to unlock champs you want to play. There's really no reward for playing at all. That's what drew me back to LoL in the end.
