Such a rule hardly needs to be clarified. It makes sense to me.
Wiping scores over leaderboard stuffing ... well no that doesn't make sense to me.

I just think that users should only be allowed one account.

And why on earth do you have 12 accounts? That's just stupid.

I can give a reason for every account, but that doesn't really matter to you does it?

And every single one of these accounts have AAA's and high scores on songs? If they do they need to be wiped as well.


teg is an alternate account as OP mentioned.

Most of them did have at least 50 or so AAAs and some had decent scores on them. Needless to say I've messed myself up on some scores but it happens.

I'm against wiping scores for any reason other than a form of cheating.

It's the original staffs fault that we are in this mess, by allowing multiple accounts in the first place. In my opinion we cannot punish people for things they didn't do wrong.

However moderation, courtesy and common sense are a virtue...

It's been in the rules for some time now that having multiple accounts spamming up the scoreboards is not okay. That's been in place for years now.

If you say no to multiple accounts and no for having stats combined on one account, what are you supposed to say yes to?

Meh, it's pretty much what icy said, it needs a definition.

I don't see what this has to do with anything. You know what your case is with the combining of grandtotal if that's where this is coming from. When it comes to icy what stats does he have on these alts that would need combining exactly? The scores on the alts all appear to be quite easily obtainable for him.

Yeah I read it and just shrugged at it. I say let the man do his thing especially in his case where its downscroll only and its one account.

What I was trying to get at is I think we have more important issues to focus on such as a) how to keep our playerbase (whatever is left) interested or Re-interested in playing this game b) how do we attract newer players. Because FFR has been for a while now on a pretty downward spiral in activity even though content continues to be added and we must evaluate the situation as to what the causes are, and what we can do the prevent or mitigate them... Focusing on issues of ACTIVE players having multiple accounts shouldn't be that important in a larger context if you have no influx of newer players, ya know?
Or you can not address the problems and just see where we end up...

The way the official rules are set up for alt accounts, you can get grey areas like this. I'm fairly certain that IcyWorld didn't make those accounts specifically to flood scoreboards.

We should probably change the site rules to limit the number of alt accounts to 1 or something, or perhaps change it so only alt accounts that play a different style are allowed. Of course if this were to happen, it couldn't be retroactive because that would probably cause some sort of community uproar considering the last few pages of this thread. But better late than never to make site rules less vague I guess.

You know many other people that had several other accounts actually posted them here and requested the wipe for fairness sake. You're fighting to keep scores that are easily obtainable to you on extra accounts for what? I don't see what's not to understand in the rule it says an. Not multiple, not many, an meaning one. Other people have been wiped for this in the past so in all fairness sake to them you should be too.

I should also note that most people who have been switching to other accounts as a main because they no longer wanted their main have been having their stats wiped as well.

The way I saw things, people offered their alt accounts to be wiped for their own reasons. Whether they thought it was fair, or they just didn't care about their alt accounts enough to play on them, or any other reason is irrelevant to me, they had their own reasons.

I thought it was just optional to have them wiped or not, and it sure seemed that way since the rule isn't being enforced beyond what people offer upon their own accord. As far as I know, I'm the first non-bs person with many alt accounts that got called on, so this is kind of awkward.

Personally I like having my alt accounts, I like to know I can play under a different username. Most of them are characters from video games, or tv shows, and it just makes it that much more fun. I don't have much reason to play on my main account, other than to try and keep my AAA count super high, or to GT whore, or to just play new songs, but those things aren't much fun to me anymore. Having alt accounts to play on feels more casual to me. So if you need a personal reason for not wiping (it sounded like if i offered one this would happen) then there ya go.

This is just my opinion, but I feel that this is kind of unnecessary. The only thing I really see this affecting is ave rank and I don't find that a very big deal especially because if you AAA something you're always rank 1 (however I do see this bothering some people). I have a few alts myself just for fun because sometimes it gets boring on a main account when you already have good scores on every song. Idk this just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

This is something that pisses off the active userbase. They're trying to improve ranks and they have people who are capable of fgo AAAs making multiple alts and pushing their ranks down. So this is an issue.

Multiple accounts has been an issue for years this is nothing out of the ordinary. We've wiped people in the past for doing this (see zierg) so in essence letting you keep your scores is unfair to people wiped in the past for obtaining scores on alts legitimately. I understand having the casual play, AJ does it with the downscroll but you don't need 12 other accounts to do so. One maybe two fine, but this is overboard.

I'll let the community weigh in their opinions but I honestly think that you should choose an alt to keep and allow the rest to be wiped in fairness of everyone else.
