I'm also doing two songs for this atm. One I started last pack, and a *new* one.

Both of them are Reol songs though.

sent in "The Haunting" pretty slow map at 66 BPM with mostly eighth notes so it might actually be too easy of all things lol.

My Friend Mudkip -
Hard - Pretty tricky but kinda fun too. Not a huge fan of those 16th jump-freeze sections (for instance, around M34/35). For the section that starts at M40 I think the mini freezes are cool but maybe tone them down a bit? I think that the 8bit sounds are a little too sharp and quick to really warrant the use of them when you have so many other freezes in the in the area going to other longer sounds.
Medium - I don't think you need to use the rollds for most of this chart. I think the same thing can be accomplished by replacing them with a 16th mini jack instead since (I think) you'd be tapping about the same speed. Definitely keep them in that M40 section that I mentioned above though, they are awesome there. Other than that I think it's just a bit of pattern tweaking. Stuff at like 120.772, 125.883, 136.206 (SM5 editor) could be jacks because the 8th and 16ths are the same snare sound. There are other spots in the chart you could do this too sometimes even with 8ths (ie. 131.260 and stuff)

So for now I'll say Yes to Hard because I like the challenge it provides and tweak Medium a little bit and we should be good to go.

Beginner and Light were pretty much fine so I'll just say they are okay lol

4 Walls - Not bad at all, some good challenge in there. Fairly technical. Needs that second chart though! I'll update it when I get it

The Haunting - I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on the too easy part. Even adding the hands like you did didn't really add enough to the chart. The guitar solo was well done, though. I'm gonna say no to this one, mostly because I don't think the song is really providing anything worth stepping... it's just too empty

However, I think you have gotten a lot better at charting though, so don't let it get to you! I hope you send another

Eh I wasn't gonna ask but I really do need to know: how much leniency is there on the difficulties?

If I have a really good like easier file, but the harder one ends up being like an 18 or 19 would it get rejected?

Not really no, because it still satisfies the two chart requirement. If the difference between the two difficulties is too great I might ask for a third one in the middle (if possible) but if I can play them both then don't worry about it

4 Walls - We good now.

Walk With Me - Fun chart with some cool swing-y stuff. A little long but I think that's offset by them swing notes. A pretty technical file that should prove to be worth trying to MA. More charts please!

Hua Sui Yue - The Medium chart works as a chart for real beginners so I'll probably keep it as is, but the Hard chart has a whole lot of fairly obvious piano sounds missing from it, and stands to be a bit more technical. I like the song so I really hope you work on it some more! Needs work

Butterfly Joe v2 - Lots better. Some of the patterns still feel a little odd to hit, and I would still like to see the very small 48th bursts where those hands are (at 74.s and so on) but those are pretty much my only qualms with the file. Not bad!

Medium - That's a really wild opening first measure. If I could suggest something: I'd get rid of those 24ths at the very beginning and have just a freeze on the 8th instead, and then turn those 16ths into minijack 12ths. Then at beat 3 you can make all of that 32nds; as long as you make it a fairly simple pattern, most people should be able to get it. Other than that its a pretty solid chart! Yes.
Hard - I don't quite have the speed to hit those bursts... The ones at the beginning and the longer 32nds near the end always get me. Can we compromise somehow? I think that those make it a bit hard for the pack.

I know there's a minimum required difficulty range, but is there an upper limit? If so, what would it be? The last bit of your notes above my post seem to suggest this.
