I would recommend against getting a second IE. Get an Atma's, Last Whisper, Maw of Malmortius, or a Bloodthirster instead. I'd probably go Atma's to synergize with your mallet.

I would never build more than 2 phantom dancers on any champion, and the second one would always be your last item.

The return you get from additional Phantom Dancers is almost irrelevant. You'll get absolutely destroyed by anyone that has built damage, especially when you have no life steal.

Try items like Bloodthirster and Infinity edge; they are practically requisite items on any AD carry. Go for Last whisper if you're facing heavy armor builds.

Black Cleaver can also be an option against tanky champions.


So for someone like Miss Fortune, try:

1. Open boots + 3 pots.
2. On back, get a vamp scepter + Berzerkers or Berzerkers and Dorans blades, or both!
3a. If you're struggling some in lane, turn Vamp scepter into Wriggles.
3b. If you're beating opponent in lane/getting kills, go bloodthirster or infinity edge.
4. Phantom Dancer
5. Last Whisper, unless they have very low armor, in which case Infinity/BT/Cleaver
6. QSS (quicksilver sash) or GA (guardian angel) are good options here.

yea, should've gotten atma's, maw of mal, warmog's (if you really have to) or somethin.
also never get boots of speed on Garen, lol. ninja tabi (for armor) or merc treads (for tenacity) work better

Reach 2 phantom dancers is quite viable, (just be sure to get 2 zeals before upgrading one of them to pd) there's a lot of ad carries that don't benefit from lifesteal too well because they're too squishy. If you were playing say...Twitch, you'd pick a second phantom dancer over a bloodthirster to compliment your attack speed when coming out of stealth.

Then again, you're always building based on what the enemy team gets, if they don't get armor then it's pointless to waste gold on last whisper. That would be a pretty low elo team, but in most cases you won't get the opportunity to build the 2 phantom dancers because you're busy countering the enemies defence.

They're giving you seriouspants builds, if you're doing really well on a carry and you like to zoom zoom around get 3 pds IE and 2 BTS (that's right, no shoes). The serious builds work quite well and such, but sometimes you gotta have fun. Like on hit Volibear with double lightning.

Well, I *did* say it was viable, but why would you build a second PD before you had a complete build?

I don't see the math holding up, even for someone like twitch. I've never seen any high Elo Twitch rush a second PD on him.

And how are there...lots of AD carries that don't benefit from lifesteal? You list the squishiest AD in the game, and even then I don't really agree (Lifesteal is still good on him...)
