i think the thing for ds might be speed mods because you cant cutscreen in sm, that might throw him off.

window it and drag half of it below ya task bar, or hell put another window in front of it.

obviously that has nothing to do with it lol

The skills needed for FFR and SM are very similar indeed, but there are some slight adjustments. However, if one is good at FFR, I'd imagine they're at least decent at comboing in SM (especially if they are able to combo fast songs with low-boocounts). Accuracy would be a toss-up.
