No, you can't use the beta engine

You can't use the swfs.

Appearence mods are non functioning on the Beta, other than Tornado which is an effect mod, and dizzy as well.

The reason why you can't use the swfs is because with the swf on the results screen, all you would have to do is change the link in the address bar, and SS it with the link you just typed in.

Using this actualy engine on the website can eliminate this. Noting the fact that its very obvious with later mods to tell who is cheating because some are just impossible. And little notable things can be easily seen in the beta vs the regular engine.

So basically what your saying is that people who do not have subbies are basically screwed?

We aren't completely eliminating the beta, or the swfs. If you would have read the post about the beta you would of realized that.

I think what you want to say is "The beta cannot be used" not "the beta will not be used" because that implies that on those two rounds you MUST use the beta, which means non-subscribers can't do it.

OK let me simplify this. The .swf files are difficult to distinguish which one is which. That is why you cant use them for most rounds. The FFR Beta does not support the appearance mods so that is why you cant use the beta with the exception of 2 rounds. Essentially this whole tournament is based on the use of different mods and the beta does not support a lot of them so we do not want people using the .swf files because we cant tell if you truly played the round's song the way we wanted it played.

The beta swf has the mute option on the results screen. The regular swf shows the mods

No, the Beta can be used so you can suffice your own personal settings. Reason is because 2 of the rounds are not technically appearance mods. Actually, there is 4 rounds, but we will deal with that later due to replay reasons.
