Re: SM Scores
Rhythm Game Science Monthly - December 2008
"The Midare Scale" Following comprehensive research of the StepMania classification known as Marvelous Attack, Dr. Stepman Iaspret Tyserious has devised an applicative system for gauging the relative accuracy of a given instance of StepMania performance. It has been dubbed the Midare Scale, after the namesake legendary player known for his phenomenal rhythmical exactitude and proclivity for fashionable usage of pinnipedia as alterior attire. The reference case for the Midare Scale is midare's latest ==PLANET KARMA== run, which consists of the following quantity of StepMania accuracy labels: 2411 "marvelous", 14 "perfect", 0 "great", 0 "good", 0 "boo", and 1 "miss". To obtain the primary metric, called the Midare Number, start by dividing 2426 by the total step count. Multiply the quotient by the number of steps without the designation of "marvelous", then subtract the product from 15. The result is a corrected value describing the equivalent proportion of non-marvelous inputs as it corresponds to the index of 2426. This difference is multiplied by a subjectively defined variable D, which adjusts for discrepancies in stepfile difficulty. The product is the Midare Number unique to the specified stepfile attributes. As intuition might suggest, positivity and negativity indicate respective superiority and inferiority to the reference case. Dr. Tyserious expresses doubts as to the Midare Scale's potential as a standard of StepMania measurement, saying that "nearly every Midare Number will turn out negative due to the sheer magnitude of the reference case. However, such a likelihood means also that the vast majority of Midare Numbers can remain appreciably removed from negative connotations that would arise from an otherwise skewed spectrum." As a personal note, Dr. Tyserious adds, "That ==PLANET KARMA== run was so zetta-uber that it made me unsure of my own Stepuality." It looks like it's time to invest in a sealhat... |

Re: SM Scores
hahaha ieat
I created the sealhat in my secret basement - when the owner's head is enveloped by the sealhat it is stimulating the brain via transmitting "seal-waves" which increase your focus to be the level of omgdidinsane arrowslaying. I created a monster broheims it's a rare device however, we must not let one slip in the hands of dynaminatore or "wala hard song quads you did you" happens. ps. I didn't use any eskimo slave force to make those, really, don't hit me brah. pps. Dr. Stepman Iaspret Tyserious is more than welcome to investigate the sealhat qualities in great detail. Re: SM Scores
Upon conducting an intensive study of the mystical sp1nzoKian invention known as the sealhat, Drs. Stepman Iaspret Tyserious and sp1nzoK have concluded that its effects become passive abilities of the wearer. The following is an excerpt from a conversation between the two:
T: "Surely there must be a countermeasure!" S: "I'm afraid not. Even upon removal of the sealhat, the prodigious MA powers remain." T: "I see..." S: "That is not to say they cannot be temporarily inhibited." T: "Ah! You must invent a Vitamin CA supplement!" S: "A viable idea, indeed. It will require, however, a DNA sample from the elusive Chauster." T: "But wait! He has already evolved into the Chau! He no longer lacks the MA chromosome necessary for proper StepMania function." S: "You're right! It seems we will have to find some other solution." T: "By then, it might be too late." S: "Perhaps we should look into Dossar gene injection..." |
