Why would you want that much cholesterol from just eggs? Imagine if you had an omelette or something with 4 or 5 eggs...yeah.
When I eat eggs I eat 8-10 jumbos, typically. I eat the yolk, or two yolks, since I like double yolk eggs.
My blood cholesterol is very low (have had my blood tested recently).
Dietary cholesterol is NOT directly associated with blood cholesterol in healthy individuals.
Vascular inflammation is necessary in order for cholesterol to form plaques in your body. If you're healthy you should not be worried about dietary cholesterol from egg yolks.
You need cholesterol to survive. Without it, you're dead. Your body produces lots of it naturally. Many people easily produce over 1000 mg natural cholesterol every day.
When you increase dietary cholesterol, your body decreases cholesterol production. Unless you're downing a dozen eggs every damn day or have other health complications that can affect cholesterol levels, it's never going to affect your blood cholesterol significantly. Eggs once or twice a week is seriously harmless.
The science and the absolute verdict on this matter is still up in the air but imo the real bad guy; obesity, diabetes, refined carbohydrates. Screw egg yolks. If you want a one way ticket to dead city, that's certainly one way.
It seems like these come in tandem, no? Easy to be obese when you're nomming down empty calories from refined carbs, which can develop diabetes.
For the past week or so I've been having 2-3 eggs a day... might be overdoing it but eh.
Yeah, they are all related, which I suppose is the point. It's pretty much a death trio and in the case of insulin resistance, is pretty much the #1 sign that you're unhealthy. Many people can get their diabetes under control or cured entirely by removing refined carbs from their diets and losing weight.
Cholesterol is such a non issue in healthy individuals that aren't getting old or have history of heart disease. Maybe 2-3 is overdoing it for your weight and and current health status, but I don't have your blood work in front of me. You could be perfectly fine. If you're worried about it, cut them back to 1-2 times per week. There's no way that can be harmful in your case.
start off with maybe a half-mile? minimum of three days per week.
i'm not sure of your exact fitness level, but aim for under six minutes.
a big thing to remember is to make a running schedule and stick to it
I ran a lot in high school (cross-country), so I'm familiar with form and breathing regulation and what have you. I'm just wondering what else I can do on my off days. I have a running schedule set up already.
