And seriously, "if you are a girl who looks like a boy" and you try to go into the girl's bathroom pretty much anywhere in North America, you'll probably be arrested before you have a chance to explain that you're a girl. THIS is the sort of problem at hand here.

I'd be uncomfortable seeing men pee when I have to use the bathroom. I don't know if I still would if I were raised with that standard.

Why on earth do you assume that a gender neutral bathroom would have openly exposed urinals?

I've been in single-gender bathrooms where every place you could go to the bathroom was an enclosed room with a door, a lock, and floor-to-ceiling walls.

There is no reason at all that almost everywhere that has bathrooms couldn't condense them into 75 or 80% of the number of gender-neutral bathrooms.

Sex designations for single unit bathrooms are stupid. I use the women's toilet at my work when the men's room is occupied. Just place a tampon receptical in both and drop the useless designation for single unit bathrooms.

some males have very feminine traits and some women are very masculine. not necessarily a bad thing

no need to complicate things over a tiny group's feelings getting hurt because they wish they were the other gender because the grass is obviously greener on the other side of the fence

Because urinals make sense. They're faster, save water, and probably save piss from getting all over seats.

Line-ups for washrooms will be longer for men if they have to wait with women at busy restrooms.

You're wrong about a very important thing. Trans people want a different SEX, (I think, I shouldn't speak for all of them) not just a different gender. This is why they do things like have sex transitions, because their SEX isn't what their mind tells them it is.
