Incredibly bad MA and the PA could be better but this is probably the toughest file I've FC'd yet.


So close to an AAA, but junky MA. Both the great and miss were really dumb too.

Very nice scores Pobeli. I'm battling some really sore hands / wrists from not having played for 2 weeks I've put some good ol' Japanese patches on to help, so hopefully I'll be back to par in a few days.

In other news, I've almost finished my first solo sim! I'll link to it as soon as it's done.

I finally FC'd this.


First time getting single digit combo breakers.


I finally AAA'd Border of Maximum, though with 58 perfects, AA'd Wazato oni about a week ago but never posted it (96 million) got 1 boo on Dragon Blade oni, 1 good on Over the Ocean, 41 perfects on Criss Cross but 5 greats, and 47 perfects and 5 greats on Scorpion Fire but bad combo breakers.

I finished this in a day. It's my first so it's probably terrible, sync and steps-wise but whatever, it's hard (hopefully not retardedly so) and kind of fun while being technically accurate (IMHO).

Knock yourselves out! I'll try to scrounge for gfx. Oh, and please post scores because I'm curious to see what kind of PA / CBs you guys'll get.

Your solo MA is usually better than mine though. I thought 41 perfects was alright.

What do you guys get on B.B. Revenge now? 8 combo breakers seemed good for me. I don't think I could do better than 3 or 5 at the very best.

I'll probably play your new file later today or maybe tomorrow, Exag0n. I've also been thinking about trying to step something for a while but I haven't come up with anything yet.

Look into stepping some OSTER project. Some of it is constant bpm (at least, as far as I can tell =/) and most of them have really cool rhythms. The following are worthy of solo steps IMO:

A Lunar CAT 52 the Galaxy Ocean
Blue Rose (yes, all 6:00 of it)
COSMIC ORCHESTRA
Crescent Moon
Dazzling Destiny / Dazzling Soul
FINAL STEP (hell YES)
Infinity 301
Shining Sky
Tete-a-tete

And others, probably. But I'm planning on stepping any one of these in the near future, once I'm over my jetlag.

Pobeli, just in case you don't have it, download MixMeister BPM Analyzer. It'll analyze the average bpm (not specific changes), and if the song is constant bpm most likely it'll show up near a whole number (e.g. WiLD PLANET is 136.98, very close to 137). Barring FINAL STEP I think all the songs I listed are constant bpm songs... which is the main reason I picked them because I can't do bpm changes for my life.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I only barely AA it when I do (I've never A'd but I'm pretty sure I'm close sometimes). I typically get around 12 cbs? Once I regain my skill and get rid of my pains I'll attempt to get an FC on vid.

That'll probably take me a couple of months though

I got 4 cb's. Best score overall was 5 cb's and 20 greats though. One part is impossible for me to FC, though, and my MA is all over the place (usually 120-160 perfects.) The file is like Gensoku Millennia or whatever (History of the Moon thing) on steroids.

And it's the best file ever.

This was the only time I combo'd to the hard part, but then I really messed up and got all 4 cb's there. I don't think I could get under 2 at the very best, and that would take getting lucky up until the hard part and then doing as well as I can there.

Fuxin sick scores too dude. Anything over 195 is really good on it, I couldn't beat 192.3 and got twice as many greats / cbs. Today my hands are even stiffer so I'm likely to be stepping another song, one of the ones in that list ... Probably Infinity 301

There's this one part with 48th or 64th bursts, I think, and then the second of the big 24th streams, and then a freeze with some kind of awkward patterns, and I always miss two or more there. I combo'd everything else in the file at least once but never got fewer than two combo breakers there.

Maybe I'll try again today. The file makes a great warmup.

IamMe made a singles Final Step file. Maybe someone could make a solo conversion of it. I was thinking about stepping Cosmic Orchestra just the other day but never started on it.

I started on Dazzling Soul today and I hope to finish it, but if not I might start doing tete-a-tete which seems simple enough.

Oh, I need to do a good file for A. Why can't anyone seem to do it justice? =/

Cosmic Orchestra seems to have a lot of potential for a fun, hard file, but I'm not sure I could do it justice. Plus I'm having a hard time figuring out what the BPM is, if it's even constant at all.
